Hello, I have adr for chef mickeys for my daughters 9th bday dinner. After all the bad things I have been reading, I am just not sure. If it wasn't for her b-day, I wouldn't care so much, but I want it to go really well. I am not even sure if she is going to be that impressed anyway, this is a surprise trip, so I haven't been able to get her opinions on this. We have 2 other character meals planned, O'hanas for breakfast, and 1900 for dinner. I was thinking about changing it to wcc, or maybe Kona. I think she would enjoy the nuttiness of wcc, I am not sure about Kona, but I am thinking I might want to go there, and she might appreciate some quiet time amongst all the madness. I don't really know anything about Kona, any info would be helpful. 8th I am going to let her choose the park that day, and we don't have hoppers, so it can't be at a park. Also, I have ressies at sci-fi, but am wondering if I should change to 50's, or maybe just eat cs and use that ts somewhere else. I know I am asking alot here, but I think I am going to list our adrs and other dinning plans, please comment- I feel like I am torn about everything, and we are going Jan 4th, so I really don't have much time to try and get in at other places.

Jan 4th - arrive, cs dinner - maybe wpexpress, emh epcot
Jan 5th dinner at 1900, mk day
Jan 6th dinner at sci-fi, mgm day
Jan 7th breakfast o'hanas, dinner at chefs de france, epcot day
Jan 8th dinner chef mickeys, free day
Jan 9th dinner bomas, ak day
Jan 10th go home, mk again

I would really like to keep chef mickeys, I wanted to see the contemporary, and then I will have to change nothing, but I would love to hear what everyone has to say. Also, how far out of the way would it be for us to go to trails end for breakfast? Thank you, Thank you, Thank you

I would absolutely keep Chef Mickey's.

My family (I have a DD13 & DS9) has a wonderful time there each & every trip. We've had dinner there about 5 times in the past year.

This past summer we celebrated DD's b-day there & she received a keepsake b-day placemat signed by all the characters & a b-day cupcake. When we received our picture package there, I noticed that they inserted a "Mickey Happy B-day 2007" graphic on the photos. Nice surprise!

We enjoy it so much that Chef Mickey's is where DS9 insisted we have our Christmas dinner this year!

**I've read here on the Dis that WCC can be "hit or miss" with the servers & antics...I would not chance that. You may get a server that does not play along.
We've had dinner there about 4 times & always enjoyed it though.

Relax :lmao: I think your ADR's look terrific. My only comment would be I hope you have planned an early ADR for your 'OHana breakfast and a later dinner at Chef de France. Personally, 2 TS meals in 1 day is a lot for us. We usually do a light breakfast (like at home) a CS lunch and a TS dinner and we find that to be a lot.
Have a Great Trip.

I think your ADR's are fine. We do a breakfast and dinner in one day all the time. You'll be fine. We just have a snack for lunch. I think having a full counter service at lunch and then a TS dinner is too much food. We would still be full from lunch. But to have a nice breakfast and then have a TS dinner is just right for us. Like I said we don't do a big lunch.

Have a great time your daughter will just love Stitch! He is a riot at breakfast.

Sounds like a fun time.

How excellent! Our DD'S share a b-day :yay: I think your ADR's look fine, too.

We're doing CM's on the 7th, the day before and CRT lunch for the official birthday special meal.

DD loved WCC when we went for her 7th bday. The server had all the boys under the age of 10 in the restaurant come up to our table to sing happy birthday to DD. :lmao: One little guy, he must have been 3 or 4 started to lean over to give DD a kiss after they were done but he got embarrassed and walked away. I think DD was quite relieved!

Hello,

Thanks everyone for responding. I think I will keep everything the way it is.

I guess we'll have to save wcc for another trip. I really want to go to the

goofy candy shop in dtd, what is that called again? That's cool our daughters

share a b-day, solferino. How great to celebrate a birthday at disney, huh?

I am really excited for her, and our other dd is turning 5 the week before we

arrive, so the dinner at 1900 park faire is to celebrate her birthday. We had

reservations at the castle, but I decided to do the gala and use some of the

money we save (we were going to pay for crt oop.) to take the girls to bbb

earlier that day. Our 4 year old is a princess fanatic, but I think she will like

the meal with Cinderellas whole family better, because she watches the

Cinderella movies all the time. So we are doing those two things on her

"celebration day," since her b-say will have came and went, then on our soon

to be nine year olds bb-day the girls are going on the pirate ride at our hotel,

cbr, in the morning, and we will finish off the day at Chef Mickeys, I hope

everything goes well. My husband says, I will not complain about a thing at

Disney, we will be at DISNEY, so we should just be happy to be there. I

think if we stick to that, we will have a great time.

I think the day we do O'hauna's and Le Chefs we will just have a snack at

lunch time. Thanks everyone for the advice, and if anyone has anything to

share about any of our ressies please let me know.

Bye,
Lea
