I am taking my 3 yr old DD for her first trip to Disney in April. She will be turning 4 on the last night of our visit and I thought it would be nice to take her somewhere fun where the food is edible, any suggestions? Just an FYI another member of our party has a 7 yr old boy too.

1900 Park Fare for dinner. It will be very fun, and the food is edible. It is a character buffet with Cinderella, her prince, and (generally) the evil stepsisters. Food is okay, and the characters are outstanding and memorable.

Oh that actually sounds fantastic. My DD and my best friends DS are both picky so a buffet might be the best option for us

Do they have any frozen themed character dinners? She's in love with Elsa. She also loves princerella who may also be known as Cinderella lol

Not yet. The closest you could get is Askerush (sp?) and you could go meet Anna and Elsa right across the way. Then ride frozen (maybe)

If she's a Frozen fan I'd do PPO Akershus breakfast as her bday meal and then ride Frozen a few times before the rope drop crowd and then the Anna and Elsa meet and greet. This was a blast for my kids in July. We even got a boat to ourselves on FEA our first ride. But I also do prefer to end our trips at MK. So maybe CRT (my kids are 2 and 4 and still talk about eating in the castle every day even though we did it a year and two trips ago) or 1900PF would be better options for those reasons.

A four year old girl? Definitely a princess breakfast or dinner at Magic Kingdom or Epcot. Or if she likes the classic characters, Chef Mickeys. Fun atmosphere, buffet, always food for kids. It's classic Disney.
Oh but the 7 year old boy is NOT going to be in love with the princess meals. You will be paying a lot for these meals (unless you are on dining plan) so you might want to consider what works for all.

This is why I like CRT. Because no matter boy or girl, eating in the castle is just an incredible experience.

I agree with 1900 PF dinner. It was our favorite meal! The food was delicious and the characters were awesome. My 8 year old son got kissed by Drizella, and my 5 year old daughter was in awe meeting the prince. She also had the best time chatting with Cinderella, who gave her a LOT of face time.

For value, fun and food variety, I'm sticking to the 1900PF recommendation. CRT has its own magic, but it's pretty pricey, and they won't make the fuss the stepsisters have a tendency to do. Now, it may happen that the stepsisters don't, obviously, but if she wears a birthday button I suspect they will. I think the stepsisters are cast with more of an eye to improv than the princesses.

1900 is your best bet! Their options are plentiful, even for the pickiest eaters, and the character interaction is awesome! DD will love all of the characters and the stepsisters will have fun teasing your friend's DS. Make time to do the Frozen ride at Epcot & the Frozen sing-along at Hollywood Studios during your trip, but I wouldn't plan Akershus with picky eaters. They do have pizza, if she'll eat that, but I can only book breakfast there for my picky mom because she won't eat their lunch/dinner. CRT could be hit or miss for your little one. I'm sure they could accommodate her tastes, if you really want to stay in Magic Kingdom. (They do offer chicken nuggets with mashed potatoes.)

My oldest is turning 5 and picked CRT for her birthday day meal and the next day is my youngest third birthday and she picked Chef Mickeys.

Not my son!!!
Have you been there? The princesses dote on the boys... Maybe a little embarrassing but cute. There were lots of boys there when we were there including my four year old son who loved the sword, told me the princesses were beautiful, and asked to eat at the castle again the next time we went to magic kingdom 7 months later.
