We will be down in Disney World during my 16 yr old sons birthday following Christmas. Becuase we typically have traveled on his bitrhdays and it is so close to Christas it has always been a bit of let down. This year we would like to plan something special at one of the resturaunts in Disney World. We have done charactor dining in past trips and this would be a little too young for him now. :cool1:
Looking for suggestions :confused3 , thank you in advance

I suggest 50s primetime, its lots of fun and if he's anything like my teenages he should enjoy it. Plus the food is great and the theming is done perfectly. And if you have a good server they treat you like family. Some of the other restaurants are more fancy but this is more of what 16 year old might like. Oh and you HAVE to tell them its his birthday when you get to the counter, sometimes they do fun stuff.

I would suggest sci fi diner...My sons loved it ..its like a drive in movie from the fifties..you sit in cars ....very cool.

:wave2: 'Ohanas would be alot of fun. Plus its all you can eat...not a bad thing for a teenager!

This past trip (8/05) my 16 year old son liked the 50's PT and Kona Cafe the most. 50's PT is always a favorite of his, and he loved the steak terriyaki at Kona Cafe.

He would be mortified if we took him to a character meal!!

I have 4 teenage sons. We have celebrated birthdays at the world over the years. I think Kona is a great suggestion because of their food and dessert selection. Another thought might be Whispering Canyon if he can take a lot of attention and ribbing. It's pure Disney without the characters. My oldest son is a real foodie and would probably prefer more sophisticated dining options like Jiko or Cali Grill. You will have to decide which kind of kid you have. :earboy2:

There are also birthday boat cruises with cakes and such if they are still available at this late date.
