Birthday dinner at Disney springs..frontera or Edison?

Hello! We will be going for my birthday dinner to Disney springs first night we arrive(adult!). Only those two restaurants really sound appealing to me and have open times for the date. Bringing husband and two kids. I love Mexican but feel I can get that experience at home too….? Also, I want to get dressed up! What do you think?

Of the two you mentioned we have only been to The Edison it was 3 years ago and enjoyed it. We tried The Boathouse in November and absolutely loved it!

Thanks! The boathouse is booked unfortunately. Do they have open seating for no reservations? I don’t want to chance it though for birthday

Did you try booking The Boathouse through Open Table? Unfortunately I have no idea if they allow walk-ins.

Agree with trying open table. We’ve gotten reservations at great times even when Disney showed no availability. As far as dressing up, I don’t know anything about frontera. But we had lunch at The Edison. It didn’t seem like a dress up type experience. People do get a little more dressed up at the Boathouse.

Not sure about your price range but in my opinion, I would look at the restaurants near The Boardwalk. Il mulino, Shula's and Flying Fish are all amazing. They are usually easier to get a reservation than a lot of the restaurants at DS and afterwards you can take a relaxing walk around that area instead of fighting the crowds at DS.
