We will be going for quick weekend trip the end of August. DD5 and baby DD both have birthdays the beginning of Sept. I was think about considering it a birthday trip. But.........DD3's birthday is not until the end of Nov. Will I just be creating problems by making a fuss about the birthdays at all? Is it too much to do a three combo birthday celebration? Should we just do a 1st birthday celebration for DD? Should I just nix the birthdays altogether? :confused3

What do you do when your children have birthday close together?

If one of their birthdays falls during the trip, go ahead and celebrate. We did, last summer . I have THREE girls with summer birthdays, but only the one with the birthday on the trip got birthday pin, and the birthday listed on the ADR. The other girls didn't really complain, they knew it was not their birthdays.

If none of their birthdays are really during the trip, I personally would skip celebrating them at WDW this year. Only because it would be harder to explain to your kids that you are celebrating birthdays that are not really here yet. I think November is really stretching it, and at age 3 would be a bit confusing. My dd turned 3 AT WDW, but now she thinks she will not turn 4 till we go to WDW again. Better hope we get there for her birthday, or she'll be 3 for a good, long time, lol.

I would definitely make it a "birthday trip" and celebrate all three of them together. My DD's birthday is near Halloween and we ALWAYS celebrate it early. Go. Enjoy. Get 3 birthday buttons. Tell everyone you meet that you are at WDW to celebrate the birthdays of three princesses. And the cool part is, you can tell them all those souvenirs are birthday presents, and you're not buying more in a few weeks. Of course we mamas know there will ALWAYS be presents on the actual birthday. Lotsa pixie dust to you and your girls pixiedust:

So do you buy your own birthday pins or get them from Disney? My daughters birthday is 7 Jan but because Daddy will be deployed and not getting back until 15 Jan we won't be at Disney until 22-27 Jan. We are going to ease the pain of Daddy not being there for birthday by saying the trip to Disney will be her birthday present.

Just figured if we ween't there for the actual date we would be given the cold shoulder.

Thanks for any advice tips you can give me on this!

I believe they are free because I am going in Sept for my daughters birthday and when I called to make reservations at the castle and told them it would be her birthday the lady on the phone told me to go to city hall and get her pin. And also I could call the castle ahead of time and they would make me a cake for $12. I believe celerbate.
