Hello!

I'll be heading to Disney World in March for my birthday and we have several breakfast reservations. I've read alot about people getting cup cakes after their meals if their celebrating something and they specified so on their reservations. I made sure all of our reservations have that's is my birthday but I was wondering if they even do anything special for breakfast?? You know like it might seem to odd to serve a cup cake at breakfast??? Course, no way would I complain!! I love my sweets anytime of day :)

I received cupcakes at Chef Mickey's breakfast on my honeymoon in 2002. We brought them back to the hotel and they put them in their fridge but we never did get to eat them.

We got a sweet treat ( I think 4 small items) at Boma.
That's the only breakfast we had outside the room.

We have friends who are in WDW right now.

Yesterday they texted me a picture of their DD8 & the cupcake she got at breakfast yesterday at Chef Mickey's. :goodvibes

For birthdays, anniversies, and other celebrations,
no restaurant is that much better than another restaurant.

1) Acknowledgment is a matter of the CM's personal initiative.
2) It also depends upon how much they like you as a guest.
3) CM's can do a lot, or they can do nothing at all.
. . . they are under no obligation to give goodies or even acknowledge, or
. . . they can go way overboard and give lots of gifts to a guest
4) The CM's have a lot of leeway of things to do or not do for you.
5) Have your anniversary-birthday-celebration noted on the ressie and ADR's.
6) Some of the things a CM can do for free are
. . . decorate table with Mickey confetti
. . . best table location
. . . special personalized menu
. . . character-autographed birthday cards
. . . balloons
. . . wine or champagne or Shirley Temples
. . . appetizers or desserts
. . . cakes
. . . cupcake with candle (almost always available for the asking)
. . . placemats autographed by characters
. . . free appy pr free dessert
. . . fruit basket or wine basket
7) Caveat: If there are multiple celebrations for people during a trip
. . . do not do separate celebration locations or tables
. . . one person may get an enthusiastic CM, and get lots of goodies
. . . one person may get a lazy CM and get nothing

Thanks everyone for the great information!!! I think I'm even more excited now then I was before! Which I didn't think was possible! Haha :woohoo:

DD got a breakfast cupcake last week at CRT.

You can also pre-order special desserts at some locations. We got this at GF:
