We'll be having breakfast at CM on DD's birthday. I think that they will bring her a cupcake, even though it's breakfast time...is that correct? Also will they bring some for the other kids too?

We have found that they bring the cupcakes intermittently at best, and they never bring more than the one for the birthday person.

And I'm not sure that they would have any available for breakfast.

If they even have them available, I would think they would only bring it to the Birthday Girl - to make HER special day. Giving one to every child doesn't make her special on her special day.

My dd and her friend celebrated their 13th birthdays in WDW. My dd turned 13 there, her friend turned 13 the day after we got home. Their birthdays were noted on all ADRs. We had a breakfast at CMs. Both girls got cupcakes..they thought that was a complete hoot.
I doubt you can expect a restaurant to bring a birthday cupcake for all the kids. I suppose if there is just one addtl child, you might ask, but more that that would be presumptuous. Its a treat for the birthday child, not all the kids at the table..unless you want to pay extra for it.

I didn't mean to sound presumptuous. When I made the ADR, my thinking was that DD would get a cupcake and the other kids would be fine with the other treats from the buffet. But I wasn't really thinking that, being breakfast, there wouldn't be desserts on the buffet. So then I thought that maybe if I asked, the server would be willing to bring out a few small cupcakes or cookies that may be on the dessert buffet later in the day anyway. But I actually just read about the 6 inch cake that you can buy from the restaurant without preordering. I think that is what we'll do. Thanks for the replies.

We celebrated 3 birthdays at one breakfast at Chef Mickey's & all 3 got cupcakes.
Last year we had 3 birthdays at Cape May dinner & the server said they could only do 2 birthdays at one table so she brought out 2 birthday cupcakes & 1 'unbirthday' cupcake for the third child.

DD celebrated her birthday at Chef Mickey's a few years back, with a late breakfast reservation (so while it was still technically the breakfast service, we treated it like lunch!) and did get a cupcake, so they are available. No other kids in our party but I'd assume that whether or not other kids (or even the birthday child, for that matter) at the table got one would be totally arbitrary depending on the CM.

There are plenty of desserts on the buffet - we had a 7am adr and DD finished her breakfast with dessert - there were definitely chocolate brownies.
