Friday 1st June 2007 A day of rest.
Rick and I are awake at 8.00am. We have luggage to sort out and lots of washing to put on. Alexis told us to make ourselves a home so after weve had a shower and got dressed; we head into the kitchen and make breakfast Cereal, toast and tea. The sky is overcast and is fairly breezy, but we are ever hopeful.
Alexis joins us at 10.30am and makes her breakfast. We sit around chatting until noon. The sun starts to burn its way through the clouds so it is time to head out and do some shopping and get to know the local area.
We start off at Costco and get something good for dinner. Then its off to Dana Point where we see amazing views of the Marina and bay area.
On the read again to the other side of Capistrano and San Clemente were we head for Wal-Marts and Alexis heads for Sears. We arrange to meet in Michaels. A few purchases later, we head to the lovely beach and pier. There is a lovely view of the beach area from the end of the pier, the sun has come out and it is now quite warm.
Rick and I braved the weather this morning and put on shorts, so we were proved right.
Back up through the beautiful old street of San Clemente and we take the coast road back to Capistrano. We stop of at Ralphs for milk, etc., and Rick goes to check on the cinema times for Pirates 3.
Back home with shopping unpacked and put away, we decide to head back to the cinema and catch the 4.20pm show of Pirates 3. We just make it, as the Cinema is only 10 minutes away.
Its a great film, if a bit confusing with all the double crosses. We wait until all the credits have finished and watch the final closing scene. The film was over 3hrs long.
Back home for dinner and Pirates 1 is on TV. We try and explain the plots to Alexis she has seen parts of 1 and none of 2, so 3 was a bit confusing.
Bed is at 11.30pm again tonight but we have had a great day with Alexis.
Tomorrow we brave the I5 and a trip to San Diego.
