We will be on our trip during my daughter's 8th birthday and we are trying to decide on a good restaurant for her birthday dinner. We won't be at the parks that day since it's the day we arrive, so it would have to be a restaurant at a resort or DTD. She likes characters, but not too into princesses anymore.

I was thinking about Rainforest Cafe or T-Rex Cafe, but I read that they won't do anything to celebrate birthdays - anyone know if that's true? She's been too both, so it's not the most exciting, but it would be fun.

Just looking for some suggestions...

Thanks!

Just because the resturant doesnt do anything for birthdays doesnt mean you cannt. Maybe when you get there secretly order her a desert or something like that. But I would call them and see what they have. You could also have the disney florest deliver something to the room before you arrive.

I'm going to look into getting something delivered to the room...thanks!

Unfortunately, DD has an egg allergy and for her past 2 birthdays we've gone out to eat and they didn't have any desserts she could eat so they just didn't do anything. :sad2: No birthday song or anything, so I was sort of hoping to "make up for it" by making a big deal about it this year. I know BabyCakes in DTD has egg-free cupcakes and cakes, so that might be an option.

Thanks for the help! :thumbsup2

AHHHH I get it. But man they didnt even sing to her. I just thought of something that might be a little more then what you were thinking but . . . have you heard of the tea party they do at GF they get to meet Alice and the Mad Hatter this one is called the Wonderland Tea Party its held at 1900 PF, I think I also remember one where the girls get a 18" doll its called My Disney Girls Perfect Tea Party this one is held at the Garden Tea Room

Two years ago we ate dinner at T-Rex on my husband's birthday and we didn't even mention it to the server but he saw my husband's birthday pin and brought out a free dessert. It was a nice surprise since we weren't expecting it!:)

We did T-Rex for DS's bday a few years ago. We ordered the Extinction dessert and everyone came over to sing Happy Birthday to him. It was fun! Last year, they also brought him a cookie/ice cream dessert, complete with singing, just because they saw his bday button (but we were actually there the day after his bday).

What about Whispering Canyon Cafe at the WL? or Chef Mickey's?
