Birthday Celebration Question

We will be in WDW 2/12-2/19. My birthday is 2/7, DH's is 3/4 and we intend to celebrate both, with our kids, while there. Now obviously our actual birthdays are not while we are there so no free admission or other lovely alternative (wah). Will Disney be able to do anything in the way of special desserts despite that technicality and if so, is there an extra cost? We are on the DDP and have made all our ADR's. I'm not sure if it worth calling about or if it is just something to mention when we check in. I also imagine they can't really do anything at the TS locations that are buffets.

TIA!

We were at WDW last year for my bday. Myself, DH, DS, DD, DSIL, and DGD.

On our 1st night, we had dinner at 1900 PF. When we checked in they noted that it was my bday. The trip was actually also a bday present to our granddaughter. DH mentioned this to the waiter (her bday was 2 mos. prior) and they brought her out a cupcake and happy birthday tiara.

This was the only restaurant we mentioned her bday in, but they were very nice to her. I think the key is being honest with them. That was the one dinner we booked especially for her and I'm glad they were so accomodating. We didn't ask for anything...just let them know that instead of celebrating my bday that night...we were actually there for her.

Every restaurant we ate at that week had something for my bday (it actually was that week...but no one ever asked me for proof). It was usually a cupcake (which DGD always ended up with) and I received a couple of placemats with Happy Birthday on them, autographed pix and cards, and lots of Mickey confetti!

DH did order an actual bday cake for one night. He had to order it beforehand and pay extra for it. We just had a small one, so it wasn't very much (under $20), but they make some truly amazing ones as well.

We went a week before my son's birthday. When we booked, we said that we were celebrating on a particular day. The hotel sent up balloons and a picture; the Little Einsteins sang and gave him a cupcake. They made it a very special day even though it was not the 'official' day.
