Birthday Celebration Ideas

My two youngest boys will have their birthday's while we are visiting DL. Any suggestions on birthday celebrations would be greatly appreciated!

Any of the character meals are great. Goofy's Kitchen is always a lot of fun and they will bring your boys a cupcake with a candle on it and sing to them as part of your meal price. In fact they will do that at any of the character meals. Another option is the Plaza Inn Birthday Party. For around $10 each guest gets to decorate their own little birthday cake. A guy named Pat E. Cake goes around singing, interacting and at the end everyone sings happy birthday to all the birthday kids and then Mickey and Minnie usually make an appearance for photos. You get the little cake, and some punch for each person. That party happens daily in the afternoons at the Plaza Inn inside Disneyland. Also you can purchase a birthday bucket at the character meals or other full service meals in the park or resorts. Its pretty cute and has stickers, a birthday pin and some other things in it plus the bucket and a small little birthday cake on the top. I want to say the buckets (they have them for girls and boys in several different designs) are around $20. And also make sure you get a birthday sticker at either City Hall in Disneyland or Guest Services at DCA (birthday pins are available at the resort hotels if you are staying or dining there). If your boys wear them on thier special day they will receive lots of Happy Birthdays from cm's and guests alike. Disneyland is a great place to celebrate! P.S. If you are staying onsite at one of the Disney Hotels, make sure you note their birthdays on the reservation. Generally the onsite hotels will have some balloons and a goodie bag for the birthday kids for you. If they don't be sure to remind them at check in. Its a fun perk that make kids feel special. Also for an extra fee at the oniste hotels you can order a birthday cake delivered to your room.

we always plan a breakfast at goofy's kitchen on the special day, then once their remind them we have a birthday. They actually bring out a special cupcake and sing happy birthday with the characters. . . for no extra charge FYI. . . if you want to pay extra you can have a cake and other things, but since we do the goofy's kitchen thing we go with just the cupcake. .

The birthday pins are so great, my sons have had their b-days announced over the speaker at the rockets , and in many lines. Almost all sit down restraunts will do something for them , they saw DS7's button at Jazz Kitchen and brought him out benights with a candle and sang to him , with out any one mentioning his birthday! They will have such a great time.
