Birthday Celebration @ Grand Flordian Afternoon Tea

I was wondering if you can have cakes delivered when you are having tea. I have my heart set on the mini castle cake for my birthday but have dinner reservations at CRT since I couldn't get one at 1900 Park Fare and wanted to know if you could have it sent there

Yes, just call GF's private dining to order it. My DH had the cake sent to our room at the GF this past June. He had them make a white cheesecake with the white chocolate castle on top. It was delish! I believe it was about $35, I saw the receipt for it on the tray

The Grand and Buckingham Palace teas are very filling. The Sally Lund is only two courses, which has been my preference lately if your going in between meals. If you skip lunch, then go for the larger Grand or Buckingham Palace ones.

Thanks for the information!!! We will be skipping lunch that day but we are having breakfast at the Tusker House (8:00am), afternonn tea (2:10pm) and a 7:00 pm reservation for dinner at CRT. We have been looking at the tea selection on-line and we have been thinking aobut the Sally Lund tea. This will be our first time ever doing the tea.

We are kicking off the who birthday celebration the night before by going to MVMCP on Dec 7th so I get to start the celebration at 12:01am on Dec 8th at the magic kingdom and end my night there also.

How far in advance do you need to order the cake? and where do you order it from? Thank you for your help...we will be celebrating a friends birthday next August and this would be a great surprise for her

With ADRs spread out like that, go for either the Grand or Buckingham Palace Teas, those come with the tea sandwiches. The Grand includes a class of sparkling wine. The Sally Lund is only two courses first is the Sally Lund bread which is like toasted pound cake, then a choice of strawberries and cream or English Triffle. It's really not "a meal". Besides, the others come with the scones which are amazing!
