We will be celebrating my sons birthday at Ill Mulino in July. Is there any onsite bakeries on property that will deliver a specialty cake there. Im pretty sure the chocolate mickey dome cakes are no available at that restaurant. I am not familiar with Swan and Dolphin but does anyone know if there is a bakery there that makes small cakes?

I ordered a cake from the bakery at the GF for delivery to our dinner at GF Cafe next week. I believe you can also pick it up there at the front desk. There is a lot of info in the Disney Restaurants forum, so it's a good starting point if you haven't looked yet.

I'm trying to figure the cake thing out myself. I know there is a cake chatter thread in the restaurant forum. From what I understand so far, I can be wrong, you can order some cakes directly from the restaurant. You can also get a cake from Amorette's Patisserie but that's you have to pick it up. I think at one time The California Grill offered not only those mickey dome cakes but those small "traditional" round cakes as well. I saw a video of a couple celebrating their anniversary there and they got a small cake with a tall Cinderella on top. I'm DVC and called MS for help. They didn't know what was has been going on with cakes since the pandemic. They gave me the number for Disney Floral and Gifts. When I called and pressed all the options for the cake, I get in an endless loop with no one to talk to and no way to leave message.

Some people have a cake delivered from Publix grocery store. I think that's through Instacart. The Publix cakes are supposed to be good, but I've never had one. But that would be for eating in the room, not at the restaurant. Also, I don't know where you are staying. People staying at Disney-owned hotels get delivery from Publix; I don't know if other hotels have different rules.

People have reported similar experiences in the cake chatter thread. From what I've read, those who have been successful recently have contacted either the Contemporary or GF bakeries directly. The email in the thread for GF is current, so I reached out that way. Someone responded fairly quickly, offered some options along with pricing, and then called me to finalize the order.

It looks like on the Cake Chatter Thread that people are having success ordering all types of cakes at different locations. I cannot find an email or phone number. Do you have any contact information you can share?

Sure. This is the email I used to contact the GF Bakery WDW.DL-GF.PD.Requests@disney.com. It's also listed in post 2 in the cake chatter thread.
Thanks for you help. We'll be going to WDW in October. It's also our 20th wedding anniversary and we got married at WDW so I was really hoping to surprise my husband with an anniversary at the end of dinner. Would be nice to have a Mickey & Minnie on top of cake because that was our cake topper. Fingers crossed.

Good luck and Happy Anniversary!

We did this because it was $30 for a cake from publix it was $100 for the same size cake.
Disney bakers are the best but my 10 year old does not see a difference so why spend stupid money.
I also ordered two mylar balloons and some decorations for the front window. I used instacart delivery.
