HI this is my first thread so I don't know if this is going to the right place.:confused3 It was my ds birthday in January and my dh works out of town so we didn't give him a birthday cake, and I don't feel good about it:sad2:. The good news is we are going to Disney in 2 weeks :woohoo:so is there a place that sales Birthday cake and we would celebrate his belated birthday there.:cheer2: If there is any mistake in my writting i'm sorry, I'm French

Thanks

The cakes are expensive and not very well decorated unless you get a larger size. (The smallest size is pretty much a plain, typical birthday cake you can get in either vanilla or chocolate.) We paid about $60 for one this past trip and while my mom enjoyed the surprise, I would not do it again. We ended up throwing some of it away because even the smallest cake was too big for just two people who didn't want to eat cake as a snack for more than a couple of days.

If I had to do it over, I'd have told the server at the restaurant that it was her birthday and ordered a dessert off the menu for them to add a birthday message to or just made the tomorrowland terrace fireworks party her birthday 'experience'.

Also - make sure you tell them its your son's birthday when you check in and you can add the event to any of your dinner reservations. They'll give him a button to wear and he'll likely get some sort of special attention while wearing it.

There's a thread on the boards called cake chatter I think it gives info. about cakes you can order and sent to a restaurant you want. Not sure if they deliver to all restaurants but my DH got me one at Cali Grill it was amazing. If you don't want to pay very much you can just call the restaurant of your choice, tell them you're celebrating a b-day and you can order a small cake or even a cupcake. We did this for our DS b-day before we knew that you could get a very ellaborate cake made and decorated any way you'd like. I hope I helped more than confusing you. BTW My Pepere's family is from Quebec and I still have distant cousins who live there:) Have great b-day!!
