we just did DD bday in January
the cakes are easy and nice but not the best part of having a bday in DW.
you only have to mention to the server or even hostess that there is a b-day and you can usually get a special bday cake for dessert.
we mentioned it when we made our reservations for the week, and we actually were getting too much attention, so we would actually tell some waiters to skip the bday cake,
we had a special ressie planned for her actual bday at princess at norway,
and we didnt want it to get played out.
anyway, like i said the cake looks nice but not the best dessert i have ever tasted by far. (not like the chocolate mudslide thing at coral reef, or so many other great desserts i have had at DW)
mention it at the resort too, and they will ask who her favorite characters are and she will probably get a surprise gift the day of her birthday at the room.
(signed picture of her favorite characters)
make sure she gets the button, that will be all that is needed,
leave the rest to the magic of Disney. people in every park will give her plenty of attention.
My DD got to get on cinderellas caroselle (spelling?) first so she could pick the first horse. got to go in a theater first to pick her seat first,
etc. goofy stuff like that, but it really worked for her (and me)
i wish i could have a birthday in Disney!
