My cousin's 5th birthday is July 31st when we will be at Disney and we want to make it very special for him, he suffers from seizures and is learning disabled because of them, technically he is turning 5 but he has the mind and manorism's of a 2 1/2 yr. old. We wrote a letter to the wilderness lodge about his birthday, hopefully that day we will have a decorated room and We are going to Chef Mickeys that night for dinner but wanted to do a cake of our own with presnets at our villa. We are hoping to have the cake delivered sometime around noon so when we get bak from the park for a break it is there. So my question is has anyone ordered a cake to be delivered from the room? Where can we get one from? How Long in advance should we place our order? And basically any suggestions on the whole getting a cake for him delivered to our room matter?!

Thanks So Much!!!

I think you might want to ask this on the restaurant board here. Someone will be familiar with ordering a cake.

If you want something for him arrange and pay for it yourself. Disney can't help everyone celebrate and I would hate to see you disappointed because they didn't respond to your letter.

I would imagine the resort would be able to help you with this - one of the sit-down restaurants (Artist Point or Whispering Canyon) might do birthday cakes. I know I could have ordered something for my DH for his b-day in April - just contacted the resort (AKL) and they would have delivered something.

Check out the restaurant board as there was a thread there a couple days ago about how to order birthday cakes. There were even pictures and phone numbers in that thread.

If having the room decorated is very important you might want to consider ordering something from Disney Florist or I think there is a lady on the board here that also does gift baskets ect. I really wouldn't count on Disney doing anything for the room but who knows you may get lucky. Make sure you have the birthday mentioned on your resort ressies.

Hope your cousin has a magical birthday!

Thanks so much everyone I'll go check on the resteraunts board and look for that!!
