We will be at the FW next week for my sons birthday. We are wanting to have a pirate themed cake ordered and hopefully delivered to the fort. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get one or who I could contact to get one made? Thanks in advance.

You could also try to order one from the nearest Publix. They won't be able to deliver it but if you have a car you could run over and pick one up. The Publix bakery is excellent and probably cheaper than the Disney bakery.

Actually, if you get the right manager on the phone they may deliver it. Having worked for Publix for 5 years i know we did things like this at times.

You could also try Garden Grocer. Brian (the owner?) is great and has gotten us special floral and bakery stuff before. They can get just about anything and deliver right to WDW! They use Publix for bakery items, so if you coordinate with them and GG, I think things might work out for you. We've typically paid about $20 for a regular 9" birthday cake, so a specially-decorated one might be more, but... GG does have a minimum charge, so depending upon the cake cost, you might need to add a few other items to hit the minimum -

Good luck! pirate:

A few years ago we ordered a cake for my nephew's birthday. I called the Wilderness Lodge (where we would be eating) and ordered the cake. BUT, it was expensive. I'm thinking around $48 back in 2008. BUT, my sister, who was paying for the cake, didn't mind, so this is where I got it. A nice cake.

$48 is a great price if it was a "special" cake. If it was a regular sheet cake, that is still not too bad, depending on the size and number of people it feeds. Cakes are not cheap, especially if they are custom made.

OP, If I lived in FL, I could do you a great pirate ship, but alas, I am not! Good luck and hope the birthday is a great one!

Thank you all for the great tips. I think my wife went and ordered a pirate cake from the publix that we will pick up.

That is not a bad idea if you want to splurge for something really special ... after checking in go up to the front desk and talk to the concierge desk person and they will fix you up beyond your wildest dreams. It I bet will not only be pirate themed, but disney and maybe FW themed.

Another idea....when I checked in to my cabin the other day I ased where I could get balloons for my son's birthday. The asked his name, age, and favorite characters. On his bday they delivered a card/picture signed by Mickey and personalized with my son's name. Also, a small bunch of balloons....cost....FREE...I realize we paid a lot for the cabin, but they didn't have to do it at all so I was grateful. Not sure how this could be arranged for an RV/trailer.
