I wasn't sure where to put this, but we are going to have birthday breakfast for my DS who will turn three while we are there. I was wondering if we should try to get him a birthday cake while there, how that works, if the cakes are worth it, how much, etc etc. Any details you can give me would be great.
Also, since we are using our TS for the morning instead of that night, when should I order his cake? For dinner the night before? That's at Prime Time 50's cafe if that makes a difference.

Thanks in advance!

You're having your 3 yo's birthday meal at 50's primetime? :confused3

Or where are you having his birthday meal?

There are so many more fun places for a 3 yo on his birthday then 50's Primetime. if you want a cake , Go for it. But we got a birthday cake for DD's birthday at 1900 Park Fare and it was horrible. The only good thing is that Cinderella sang Happy Birthday to her.

I was going to say if you went to Chef Mickeys, the desserts are so plentiful and yummy there , you certainly wouldn't need a cake. Happy Birthday is sung and a cupcake with a candle is brought to the birthday child.

Not sure about 50's primetime, I never seen anyone celebrate a birthday there.

I guess I didn't explain it properly...or we didn't plan well enough.
His birthday we are having breakfast at Chef Mickey, which I was told would be super fun for him and crazy. But then I got to thinking, if we wanted to get him a cake...who gets cake for breakfast? We aren't eating at a TS that night because of the breakfast...we were just going to do something quick, so if we got him a cake at a dinner it might have to be the night before.

now even I'm confused. The 50's prime time just happens to be the dinner before his actual birthday. Should I change that one to something more fun and do his birthday then? Or just forget the cake altogether? Can we get a cake in our room, then, to sing to him? (We'll be at ASMovies)

I'm so lost. What would you do to celebrate a birthday? I thought Chef Mickey because I heard that was so so fun for little ones, and Mickey is his abso. fave. but if there's a better place for a little boy to celebrate their birthday, maybe I'll switch.

I don't have any info on birthday cakes at WDW but just speaking as someone who just celebrated a DS's 3rd birthday, they don't care what day they get a cake. We had a combined party for both DSs since their birthdays are within a month of eachother. But I still did a cake for DS3 on his actual birthday. So I'd get a cake whatever night it is convenient, but be sure to mention when you get there for Chef Mickeys Breakfast that it is his actual birthday.
