Birthday buttons

Since I will be at DLR for my birthday in November, I was wondering if they hand out actual BUTTONS at the parks now, rather than the stickers for ones birthday? When I was there in 05 with my sister, she got a sticker at City Hall and a button at DLH (we were there for breakfast at Goofy's), and I was wondering if that's changed at all? I still have my bday button from WDW 2 years ago, and if need be, will bring that along to wear.

Stop at city hall, or at the desk of your hotel if you are staying onsite.

I will be celebrating my .....59th..... Birthday with two of my grandkid at Disneyland next week. I'm so excited!!!!!

I just might try to do this every year from now on. We'll have to stop and get my button for the day.

If you are staying onsite, call up the hotel before you arrive and tell them. They will have a 'package' for you when you get there. They change the button in the package depending on the occasion. I took two friends who had never been to DL last July, and at the GCH they gave us 'First Visit' buttons (my friends wore them every day of our trip) and 'autographed' pictures of Mickey and Goofy, and a welcome letter.

ETA This was for free. There are additional packages you can pay for that have balloons, treats, etc. in your room when you arrive.

Yes, you can get a button at City Hall. DD2 got one a few weeks ago.

Yep real buttons, not just stickers. I think they started the buttons during the "what will you celebrate" promotion.

yes, real buttons for bday and first visit and then they asked how many were there to celebrate with our son (we had 10) and they gave us that many of the "celebrate!" buttons too.

We stayed at the GCH and they delivered a black and white character 8x10 photo "card" to the room.
