We're taking our DD to WDW to celebrate her birthday. However, due to scheduling difficulties, we're taking the trip 3 weeks before her birthday. Can she still get a birthday button, etc.? Or do you have to be there on the exact date?
All you need to do is tell the CM when you check in at your hotel that your DGD is celebrating her birthday and they will write her name on a button for her. If you are not staying at a WDW resort, you can get one at MK - city hall or at the guest relations at any of the parks.
The idea is to show everyone what your celebrating at the park. It makes everyone feel a little more special to have a button to show off why they are there. Disney does not ask for verification for any of the buttons you want to where. Most people will not go nuts taking 25 cent buttons for no reason.
We visited WDW last October the week of mine and my daughters birthday - we proudly wore our pins all week and both received a free cupcake at each sit down meal we attended. We also received a free marshmallow treat from one of the candy stores....all because the cast members noticed our pins. My husband and I also visited for our anniversary this past February and again wore our pins - we were again treated to some wonderful surprises ranging from free dessert to champagne. Disney makes every celebrations extra special - so get and wear your pins proudly. Have a GREAT trip!
