I'm headed to Disneyland on September 24, 25, and 26 - my birthday is October 1st. Would I be able to get a birthday button or is it too far from my actual birthday? It'll be my first time during the Halloween decoration season so I'm really excited! T.I.A.

You can absolutely still get a button. The birthday one actually says "I'm celebrating", so totally go for it! :thumbsup2 I would say get it the first day you're there so that you can enjoy the extra special attention the entire trip.

You can get a button at the ticket booths, guest services, City Hall, many of the shops and restaurants, and even some custodians in the park have them. All you have to do is ask! :goodvibes

And by the way - Happy Early Birthday!:yay:

My button from this past April said Happy Birthday. Hopefully those are still available too.
I agree, ask for you button. That is OK that it is not going to be worn on the exact day as your actual birthday. No one at the park has a problem with it that I am aware of.

Have a great and wonderful birthday as well as Disney visit.

I got this one on my actual birthday but no one asked to see my ID :cool1:

Thats because there is no reason for anyone to ask for proof.

Yes, you can still get a birthday button ;)

Agreed! If you're celebrating your birthday, it's your birthday!

Hmm... not sure whether to tell you this or not, but that's not the birthday button. That's the "I'm celebrating" button... which works as well since you were celebrating your birthday. :goodvibes The actual birthday button is the one MenchieMan87 posted above.

When I got my birthday button the three people I was with all got "I'm celebrating" buttons too, maybe thats what you're thinking of? Also, OP: be sure to get your birthday phone call too! :)

Yes, remember to receive your phone call from Goofy. I decided not to at the time. Now, if I could have had a conversation with him over the phone then I would have asked for the phone call. :)

The birthday one is definitely still available and definitely the one to get and they definitely don't check ID because my birthday always falls on an annual pass blockout day, but I don't see why I should let that stop me :lmao:. You can get them in guest services at California Adventure. And I think you'll love the Halloween decorations!

All they've wanted to know from us is if we are celebrating a birthday. Well, if we want a button then YES we're celebrating a birthday, so it's not a big deal at all if it's not the exact day.

The buttons don't say "It's my birthday TODAY", they just say Happy Birthday, so there's nothing to worry about.

Well, actually, if the one with the birthday will feel the need to explain that it's not actually their birthday every time someone wishes them a HB, or feel uncomfortable with all the nice wishes they get, then don't get a button... But since it's you, I'm sure you'll be fine. (my son refused to wear his button even a day after his b'day, and I ended up feeling uncomfortable with the well wishes, but I've always had weird reactions to HB so I don't know what I was thinking by wearing the button LOL)

I went to Disneyland to specifically celebrate my birthday there. I wore my button every day June 6th - 16th!! My actual birthday was June 14th. City Hall I think does the best birthday buttons. They add little Mickeys and what not!!

I'm jealous you got to spend 10 days there. What a great birthday! :goodvibes
