Hi, just curious as to how long you wear your birthday badge for whilst at DW just the day of your b/day or foe as long as you are on holiday ?

:thanks:

I wear mine as long as I'm there as well. I'm celebrating my birthday the entire week. And it really feels good when CMs and other people wish me a Happy Birthday.

As you wish. Nobody is asking for proof of your birthdate. We were on our "Anniversary trip" last month, even though our anniversary was during a different month, and we wore our pins two of the days.

thanks guys, there will be 5 of us travelling and each of us will be celebrating. our DS turns 18 in May. DH 50th in August, my DD's DB is planning on proposing the night before we travel and its his first time at DW and my 50th is on our first day at DW so badges all round and wanted to make the most of wearing them as we celebrating so much.

cal :)

Lots of people wear them the whole time. My youngest DS will turn 7 while we are there, and I will have him wear it the day of his birthday only. We planned the trip because they have a couple days off school and it just happened that it includes his birthday. I think it's different when you plan a trip as a birthday trip and can do the same for all your kids . Unfortunately, we won't be able to do a birthday trip for both of them, so while we plan to celebrate his special day as we would at home, we won't be making the whole trip about that.

Outside of Disney I don't celebrate my birthday more than one day..so if the wife and friends get me to wear a birthday pin, I've only worn it on my actual birthday. Feels weird getting told "happy birthday" when it's not my actual birthday.

The way I see it, it's no different than having your birthday fall on a Tuesday and having your party the following Saturday.

It's a Disney thing to celebrate whatever you want whenever you want, for as long as you want to. There's gold in them thar' celebrations!

However, I think it's more than slightly self-indulgent to publicly proclaim it's your birthday for a week or more at a time... just my opinion, of course...

Going to Disney World right around my birthday this year. Proudly going to wear my birthday pin every day that I'm there. I don't get to come to Disney World all that often. Only if my mom has enough money to buy my significant other, and I a plane ticket as she goes every year to Orlando, for a conference for her work. Or, if my friend invites my significant other, and I to join her at her timeshare over there.

wore the button for a weekend once. You get kind of tired of having to acknowledge everybody that says happy birthday.

^^ This was true for me. It was nice for a day or two, but then I just kept it off unless we were headed to a table service meal (possibility of a little pixie dust?!) or a character interaction (gets the interaction off to a good start) :)

I never got tired of people wishing me Happy Birthday. I appreciated it. 2 weeks of it was great!

Can I like this more than once?

I wore mine the whole trip. We never celebrate our birthdays at home anymore. It is just the two of us and it is no big deal but this trip was to celebrate our birthdays. So if I am a bit self indulgent that is my choice to do so. We only get a big vacation every 10 years. I had some people ask if it was the actual day and I said no but we were celebrating the whole time we were there. Nobody seemed offended they thought it was pretty cool.
