I hope someone can help with this, I know I have seen threads about it before.

I'm taking DS, DDIL, and 3 Granddaughters to BCV in October, one of my Granddaughters will have a birthday while there, who do I contact at BCV about this and what sort of special things do they do or provide.

Thanks in advance.

They will do special things for her like having a charecter come by or just call so tell them and maybe you could do something in advance at maybe a dinner?

You can order a birthday cake from the Boardwalk Bakery. The bakery is right across the lake from the BCV.. not too far a walk. I have seen the prices and sizes on another post. Perhaps you can find it or someone has the info.

They might not do this anymore, but a few years ago, we were at the World for my stepdaughter's birthday. I mentioned it to the castmember when we checked in (Wilderness Lodge). On Katy's birthday, we were sent a little cake, along with a birthday card that many of the characters signed. That is one of her favorite WDW memories!

We were there this past July and I mentioned to everyone, and it was on our reservation that we were there celebrating my daughter's 16th birthday, it was her birthday trip with 3 of her friends, we got squat!! I tried not to expect anything but we were registered, we were there for 10 days at the Beach club villas, they were asking her what her favorite character was, and maybe because her answer was Tinkerbell instead of Minnie, she got nothing in recognization of her special day. I have heard of some people getting the cards and balloons, but we had no luck. I sent a co worker and her family to OKW on our points and their daughter was celebrating her birthday and they did get the balloons and card. It really is a nice touch. My 16 year old would have loved it. She did get sung to at the Rainforest CAfe which did make her day. Oh well, the trip was one of a lifetime that her and her friends won't forget, it was fabulous, so those are memories she will have forever, and we will too.
We used the bike and boat family plan at the wilderness lodge and they loved that. They were pretty much on their own. I took them to PI once and then when my older daughter and friend came down, they took them to PI again. They loved it. Lots of things to do besides just the parks.

good morning
we took my son for his 12th birthday. stayed at BCV. My husband mentioned it when we registered and they said they would sent up a little something. They forgot. Reminded them the next day, they forgot. stopped by the desk and mentioned it again. We also called for reservations at Cape May that night, but never mentioned anything about our son's b'day. well the table was decorated with ballons, taffy and a big Happy Birthday written on the table mat. at the end of dinner the staff came out with a little chocolate cake decorated mickey fashing and sang. When we got back to our room there was another hugh bouquet of ballons along with a b'card signed by mickey, minnie, goofy, chip and dale and a plate of cookies.

It was a great surprise and my son now has his b'card framed in on his bedroom wall. They more than made up for not remembering.

Also when you go into the parks, go to quest services and they will give you a b'day pin to wear. Our son has 4 of them, one for each park. Cast members are great at wishing you a Happy B'day and it makes them feel special.

We take son #2 in November for his 16th

Have a great trip.

I would definately take it upon myself to order a cake, etc.

I've read on these boards that you can order a cake from any number of places at WDW.

We stayed concierge last year and they sent cakes for a special occasion. I think it's more likely to happen if you are staying concierge. If we celebrate a birthday while at a DVC property then I would order a cake myself and see about getting a card with a special autograph at check in.

The cakes I have seen from the Grand Floridian bakery are absolutely out of this world. Maybe they can do something like this at the Boardwalk bakery.

Have a wonderful time!
