Birthday/Anniversary Tips?

I apologize in advance if this isn't in the proper forum. We will be at WDW Oct.1-7th, staying onsite at POR. Our DD will turn 6 while we are there and my DW and I will have our 11th anniversary. I have heard of things that can be done in the parks or at the resorts if you let them CMs know about the occasion. What special things can be done in the parks, etc to help us celebrate these events, especially my DD birthday. Thanks in advance for all your help.

First Tip for birthday child I've mad a t-shirt for my son saying on front It's My birthday
on back Today I Am 7. Was a big hit in the park. We did this both in 2003 & 2005. He got extra's from this shirt from cast members such as being brought to participate in a parade, driving jungle cruise ride, CM at park entrance told him to go see her for cake,
Sang happy B-day on train MK and rode in back. Donald left an autograph 5x7 Picture for him in room wishing him a happy birthday. I called Disney booking co. For this favor and had to remind them when i checked in. I usually stay at POR. If you have priority seating for any meals make sure you let them know your celebrating a birthday(for Cupcake at a meal). when you check in for meal check to make sure they have it noted. At some point a CM at any park should ask your child if they have recieved thier birthday phone call if your child hasn't yet they will call a number for their birthday greeting. Their are birthday buttons you can get for free at MK,AK, and Epoct.
With my son the t-shirt worked so much better he got alot more extra's. Front of lines & More. I Am sorry for this long reply. I hope this helps. I've done this twice.
