Birthday and near birthday

My family will be going next year for my 60th birthday. Great niece has 5th birthday later in the month. Is it reasonable to get the birthday button and cake for her even though it is not quite the actual day? We really are celebrating both - we will have some tee shirts made that will highlight this.

Definitely. My family celebrates a lot things not actually on the day. Happy birthday to everyone!!!!!

When I go in September, we are celebrating both birthdays and our anniversary. I've been deployed for a year so we missed everything (except Anniversary happens our first day there!)

Disney will let you celebrate whatever you want whenever you want.

And you could always just celebrate being at Disney!

Birthdays are for birthdays. You only have one a year.

Otherwise, its kind of like telling the server its your birthday to get the free dessert.

Definitely reasonable! I don't know about in everyone else's house but we don't just celebrate birthdays ON the actual day - we often have a party on a different day, take a family day trip on the weekend closest to the birthday etc. It's no different with Disney - the Disney trip is your "next available weekend" in this case . It's your prerogative, according to Disney, to celebrate whenever you choose to celebrate!

And, actually, one of the birthdays (adult) will be on the actual day. The child's birthday is a few days later and we would like to have her celebrate too since we can't stay long enough for both.
