Edsel (yes he is named after the car)

Day 5: We just hang at the pool and do some shopping

Day6: I wanted to spend my Birthday at Magic Kingdom so we head there for early entry.
Did all the major rides that are open. First time for Buzz, we felt it was ok. We did Alien because this is our favorite ride at M.K. We headed for Adventureland and waited for early rope drop and did thunder mountain and splash mountain, I was very unhappy with this ride.....the smell was terrible and made it hard to enjoy the ride. I couldn't wait to get off and wash my hands. What is up with that??

The crowds were so bad by now that we decided to get on the steamboat to excape the crowds. Then we just walked around and did what we could, I was not going to wait in the long lines because I knew we were doing another day at M.K.

I was wearing my B'day button and every C.M. took the time to wish me a happy b'day and even the charcters pointed it out too!

Now comes the part of the day that almost ruined my Birthday.
We grabbed a bench to the right of the castle near Tomorrowland entrance. It is 2 hours before Spectro. Soon people were lining up on the curb and back toward us. Well by 7:00 they were 6 people deep and there was no walkway for the people to pass by. Well they were still trying to get their double strollers and wheelchairs through even though we told them there was no where to go. Like saying "excuse me" would suddenly make the waters part! They proceded to run over our feet until we sat up on the back of the bench to protect ourselves. People were so rude to each other and us, they were leaving their strollers sitting on the sidewalk (others were throwing them into the bushes). I have never saw anything like this in all my visits to WDW. They announced around 7:30 that they were adding another spectro at 10:00 but that didn't help. By the time the parade started we had to stand on the bench to see, but still couldn't because people were putting kids on their shoulders. Oh well.
I saw Tinkerbell's flight for the first time and it was so neat, I can't believe I have never saw it! The fireworks were wonderful. We decided to let the crowd leave and then walked to the main gate and watched Spectro from a front row crub seat. Much better and we actually enjoyed it!! Caught the bus and hit the bed.

Day 7: Pool and Downtown Disney.

Day 8th: Our anniversary! Did some resort hopping in the morning. Loved A.K. lodge, Wilderness Lodge and G. Floridian. Since we were doing Hoop dee Doo that evening we grab a bite at W.L. cafe. We loved taking the boat everywhere.
Went to Ft. Wilderness from W.L. But relized I forgot the tickets in the car and had to go back and retrieve them! While waiting we checked out the petting zoo ( did you know Minnie Moo died in July?) Finally time to go in for the show.....
Now for the worse part of our trip:
because I had to change our reservations I had made months ago (because they cancelled specto and fireworks for the 5th, we had to go the 6th or not see it) we had horrible seats! Balcony on the right at the very last table...all we could see were the sides of the performers, nothing on the stage. We had no interaction at all, they did not come up there until our anniversary. Needless to say the food did not make up for it, $100 for chicken, salad, corn and baked beans? The dessert was very good and presented well. I told the waitress when she asked me that I felt we should not have paid the same as the people on the floor did and she agreed. I also sent an email to Disney and they said they would be sending me a reply soon. We did the hayride and campfire and I have to say that was the highlight of the evening! Also it was to windy for Water pagent!! Not a great anniversary sorry to say, we were so dissapointed after reading nothing but great things about this show.

Day 9: Our last day.....Caught the bus for Magic Kingdom. Nothing like Sat. no crowds at all. We did all the things we missed and a few of the ones we had done again. The new parade was great! Also the show at the castle was wonderful even if you don't have kids! After the show the characters come out and pose for pictures and then when they are finished with that they go, back on the stage and do a group photo, this is one of the best pictures I got!!

We then caught the monorail for MGM. Did the animation tour (after the animator was finished I asked about the drawing and she said I could have it and she signed it too) then watched Beauty and the beast show. Did everything we had missed on first visit.
Then saw Fantasmic once more. I could watch this a million times!!
The wait for the bus was crazy, they had 1 bus for all the All Stars resorts! Finally after the line got so huge they added another bus but we still had to stop at every resort.

We had a great time and hated leaving, but all good things must come to an end....so goodbye Mickey and friends!!

I am anxious to get to see the new parade......I hear great reviews on it......thanks for taking the time to post

Thanks for the report...I know what you mean about Splash Mountain...It's so mildewy...Yuck...But I still love the ride...Waiting for parades is awful...Apparently no one cares if you've been waiting forever, they'll just push in front of you anyway  It left such a bad taste in our mouth last time, that we vowed never to see Spectromagic again!
