I've really enjoyed lurking and reading other people's trip reports. I also kept a travel blog for my last (non-Disney) trips which I really liked, it's so much fun to go back and read them now. I like to use shutterfly.com to make photo books so its neat to include what I wrote on the blog in my book to give the pictures some narrative. :surfweb:

So here I am, new to the boards :wave2:, and planning my birthday trip to WDW and my husband's first trip. Of course this is a lot of pressure since I've told him how great Disney is and how much he'll love it. So as you can see the cast is fairly simple:

Cast
Me: Carolina Blair (aka Blair/vacation planner extradonaire ;)), I'm 28. I've been to Disney a few times over the years with my most recent trip in 2007 with my BFF. My first time at the tender age of 2 set me on a course of loving Disney. My mother and I have some of our best memories together there. This is my first time actually planning the trip myself so I'm a little overwhelmed :upsidedow but still enjoying it.

DH: Justin whose 32...he's never, ever been to WDW before. After I said for years that we should go, the straw that finally broke the camel's back was when his dad took my DH's 2 y.o. sister earlier this month. So I heard for a week, how he never got to go as a child, blah, blah, I broke down and booked the trip for him.

Travel Dates
We'll be flying North Carolina bright and early Saturday :goodvibes, September 19 on Southwest arriving in Orlando about 9:30 and returning :sad2: on Friday, September 25.

Hotel
All Star Sport

Celebrations
My 29th birthday...although it isn't until October, this was the best time for me to go work wise

I'm working on getting the itinerary and ADRs planned now (so many decisions) so check back soon!

I thought I sensed someone lurking around here.....

This was my first time doing the planning this year too.
It was a bit overwhelming, but all worked out for me.
It will for you too. I'll check back later to see how you did.
