My dear little princess Shelby will turn 7 while we are in Disney on December 22nd. I already have a breakfast ADR for Cinderella's Royal Table, but I need ideas for the evening meal. We are staying at the Polynesian and it will be our last full day. We will be there for 10 days on the dining plan. I already have reservations for the princess tea and a character meal at Crystal Palace earlier in the week.

I am considering several options, Liberty Tree Tavern, the Luau, Hoop Dee Doo and Beaches and Cream. My oldest mentioned today that she might like Chef Mickeys since we hadn't been there in a while and she probably didn't remember ever going.

Anybody have any suggestions? I thought about 1900 Park Faire but I don't know if the boys could take two Princess meals in one day, and I am not sure I could either  I would love to do Rainforest Cafe because it was one of her favorites, but it's not on the dining plan, but I am not ruling that out either. I can't decide HELP!

We did my son's BD at Liberty Tree Tavern! It was great! I ordered the cake and they had the table decorated before we sat down. Of course he had his BD button on, so the characters were fawning over him. And it's Minnie so your DD would most likely LOVE it. The CM's sang to him & the characters all signed a BD card! It was a very special birthday. Normally I wouldn't do two TS meals in one day, let alone two character meals... but birthdays at WDW don't happen every day! I'm sure whatever you decide just being there will make her day extra special! :flower:

Chef Mickeys is fun on birthdays. The birthday person get a placemat, a cupcake and usually a card. You can also order a cake if you want one.
This past summer, I treated my niece and nephew (7 year old twins) to the Hoop Dee Doo and they absolutely loved it. There is a prtion of the show where they ask if anyone is celebrating a birthday and sing happy birthday. At Park Faire, there are Prince Charming and the mice from Cinderealla as characters and it has been reported here that they give the birthday girls crowns. The food there is also very good. Have fun whatever you decide to do.

We celebrated our DD's 7th birthday dinner at LTT. She loved it. We had the option of ordering a cake but didn't do so. We figured that we would be too full to enjoy it anyways. The table was decorated with confetti and the CM's sang Happy Birthday to her. (and DH as well - they have the same birthday). There was lots of character interaction as well
We also had breakfast at CRT - both DH and DD had birthday cupcakes there and received special birthday certificates (yes DH too!).
I think it was a birthday neither will forget!

We normally wouldn't do two sit down meals in one day either, but since it's her birthday, I knew she would want breakfast in the castle again. I actually have a reservation right now for Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner that night, but of course I keep second guessing myself  I have struggled with the question of getting her a cake or not. Being that we will be on the dining plan for nine days, something tells me we will have had our fill of dessert by day 9, but then again there's always room for birthday cake... :rotfl:

I like Chef Mickeys too....they put on music and have a "party" for your special day! She will get a placemat with all the character's signatures and a cupcake just for her!

Happy Birthday Shelby! :bday:
