I've done some searching on disney's website and the boards and haven't located any information on what you can do for a child's birthday at WDW. Can you arrange a birthday party somewhere with characters, do a special event at one of the parks or resorts, etc? I'm sure this has been asked before, I just haven't run across it yet.

In March my best friend and I celebrated our 13th birthdays in WDW. We did two character meals (Crystal Palace and Chef Mickeys). At both places they gave us little cupcakes. At Chef Mickey's we got place mats saying "Its my special day!" and they were signed by all the characters and at Crystal Palace we got cards signed by the charaters. Also when you go to the parks go to Guest Services and tell them about the birthday, they give you a pin to wear, so everyone knows its your birthday. Once we got free ice cream in AK and free fast passes in MGM. Also you should tell the hotel, you can get balloons and things. My dad didnt come with us on this trip and he picked out a really cool gift basket (not sure if this was from WDW or the Disney Store) they delivered it to the room and wished me a happy birthday.

Hope this helped. :)

bump -- I'd like more ideas, too.
Thanks.
