AAAAAHHHHHHH HOW SWEET
I HAVE AN ADOPTED ELEPHANT CALLED EMILY.
SHE LIVES IN AFRICA (NO ROOM IN THE GARDEN:p :p :p :p )
I WAS GIVEN HER FOR MY LEAVING PRESENT FROM MY WORK WHEN I GAVE UP TO ADOPT 2 BOYS OF MY OWN, MY WORK MATES THOUGHT IT WAS A FUN IDEA!!!:)
LIN

............that is a great idea Lin :) !!

How does that work? Do you get updates on her progress? ...... and perhaps pics too?

If you're interested you can adopt animals at Whipsnade Zoo in the UK. My daughter's the proud owner of an Asian elephant. It cost £45 for a year and she's received a certificate, photograph, and gets a quarterly newsletter. It does help that we live about 45 minutes away, but local zoos throughout the UK do something similar.

If you are somebody with a warped sense of humour you can adopt a cockroach for someone - seriously you can.

Oh, at Animal Kingdom !

Yer had uz worried for a minute there ShirleyBob

My elephant is in Africa but it is the same process as what SidB has already said.
Pleased to report that Emily is doing fine and is one of the leaders of her group now.
I have some lovely photos of her and maybe one day i may get to see her in the flesh?
Emily is now 9 yrs old so still just a kid!!;)
