birth certificates?

I was recently told of a family, no one I know, that went to Disney World. When checking in, they were asked for their 2 year old's BC to confirm her age. Has this happened to anyone else?
Our trip will be right before my daughter turns 3, I am definitely bringing her BC.

We were able to use our health insurance card which listed the child's name and birthdate

did they ask you for proof of age? Guess I should bring it after all. I'm afraid of it being lost. Always that fear of identity theft.

We were never asked for proof of our DS's age, but he's small for his age....and we stayed onsite three times before he was three...don't know if that helps or not, just sharing my experience.

No. We went a week before my DD turned three and only got questioned once at the turnstile of MK. I told them she was turning three next week and that "I knew the rules"

DS was a month shy of his 3rd birthday for our trip in August. Not a single person asked us to verify his age. Which surprised me because he is very big for his age. He looks like he is 4 or 5 (so I've been told by many people...most being strangers). I anticipated that they might ask, but didn't bring anything with us to show proof. I figured that since the airline didn't require it, I didn't need it. We did, however teach DS how to respond when asked how old he was. Of course, he didn't like having to tell people he was only 2. No, he had to let everyone know the was "two and a half!" He got very upset with us if he heard us telling anyone that he was only 2. We also taught him his birthdate, just in case anyone asked him.
