Birth certificate/driver's license not matching...A problem?

Okay, here's my question.

My mom's birth certificate has Emxxx Loxxxxx Farxxxx on it. She got married to my dad and changed her last name, going by Loxxx Farxxxx Coxxxxx, using her maiden name as her middle name. My dad passed away, and my mom remarried. She now has Emxxx Coxxxxx Bridxxxxxx on her driver's license, since she uses my dad's last name as her middle name and her new husband's last name as her last.

All that to ask... since the name on her birth certificate and the name on her license only have the first name in common, will there be a problem?

WHen we went they told us as long as the DOB and first name match there is no problem. We had gotten a copy of my moms birth certificate and it was the wrong last name on it! We had no time to get a new one so we went with that one and had no problem getting on the ship!

She should bring marriage certificates just to be safe. That will show the name changes.

If she is worried she has time to get a passport. After our last trip of my not having one and dh having one I saw how much easier it is to travel with a passport.

If you think about...hardly anyone (unless they are single or chose not to take their husband's name) will have a different last name on their driver's license than there birth certificate!!!
