Birnbaum's Official Guide Question

Can someone please tell me when I can expect to find a 2004 "Official" guide out in the stores? TIA!!

I just got the 2004 Birnbaum guide to WDW at Barnes and Noble book store. If you do not have a B & N near you, you can order on line.

I picked it up at Barnes & Noble yesterday too. One thing I found interesting in it so far; in Tomorrowland they make no mention of Carousel of Progress or the Timekeeper at all. (The buildings are there on the map, but no attractions associated with them and no write-up description of either one.) They do have Alien Encounter shown and described, but with a note that "Big changes are possible for Alien Encounter. As a result, the attraction may be closed for several months at a time."

According to the latest rumor on Screamscape, the rehab of AE (to make it more 'kid-friendly' and add Stitch) may begin as early as the middle of next month. That site thinks that CoP and Timekeeper may reopen as every day attractions until the rehab is finished. I was hoping to get the chance to see Chairman Clench, Skippy, S.I.R., and the alien one more time when we visit in early November, but maybe we'll get the chance to see CoP and Timekeeper one last time instead...

well that's disappointing about AE....I hope they do not add another stupid kid ride.( that's the ride that is stupid , not the kid) of course if they do we can hit our couple of "must do" rides at Mk in an hour and leave.... except I like the "ambiance" of the place!

I went to pick up the book and I was told you had to order it and it would not be released until Oct ! I argued and said others had purchased it there but she said that was impossible according to their computer. I though all Barnes & Nobles had the same schedule! I told her I was leaving in Sept this year so ordering it for Oct would do me no good. She kept trying to get me to order it anyway. I will keep trying! 8 days left!!!

Brendaroo, have you tried another book store? We didn't get ours at Barnes and Noble, just at one of the mall book stores (can't remember the name). They are definitely out, I would just perhaps call around? Have a wonderful trip!

So glad I read this post! I didn't think it was going to be released until Oct. I called my local bookstore, as soon as I read that some of you had picked it up already. They had 15 copies delivered today! I'm off to get my copy.....and some M&M's to go with it! Happy reading tonight

If you can't find 2004, the Disney Store had the 2003 50% off.

I already have 2003 but some of the info seemed outdated and inaccurate because of recent changes.. I read that the 2004 was way more updated and worth buying. What can I say..... I am addicted to WDW books! When I buy new, I usually give the old ones to Family members who have never been there to get them excited. Thanks to all and I am going shopping TODAY!

I went to my local Barnes & Noble store and found several copies!
I was so happy & excited & also purchased 4 new cd's to listen to on the 18 hr road trip! That was one expensive shopping trip but I am a very happy disney planner! Thanks to all who responded.
