Just having a play earlier, as you do:banana:

If we could squeeze a little trip before October with dmil-
Would consider flying from the above mentioned airports if obviously the price was right.

Indirect not an option for us-but will do overnight in hotel at airport then fly off the next day. It's just the return that's the stinker:rotfl:

Are there airports onsite at bhx or ema (like the radisson at man)?

Or which airport hotels would you guys recommend?

i live near east mids airport, and about 50 minutes from Birmingham airport, and am a fairly frequent visitor to both :) - both airports have onsite hotels, plus hotels very nearby (Birmingham airport is next to the NEC, and East Mids airport is at Castle Donington, which has hotels built just one roundabout away from the airport).

eta - just checked trivago, at Birmingham airport you have Ibis, Ibis budget, Novotel, and Holiday inn onsite.

at East Mids airport you have Thistle hotel, and just at the next roundabout up (so less than 1 mile away) you have Premier Inn, Holiday Inn Express, and Radisson Blu.

I love EMA! So easy to get to off the M1. I would choose to fly from there every flight if I could! :thumbsup2

Claire :)

Thanks for your info guys.

I like the look of the prices-don't know how dh would feel about the drive back to the cold ne though:lmao:

like lots of other airports, there are Costa coffee bars situated at arrivals at both those airports, if your OH needs a rest and a coffee before starting the drive home. They both have Spar-type convenience stores too.

Hiya, im planning Aug 2016, and flight supplements really vary across the airports. i live 30mins from BMX and they charge £35 each way in supplements, east midlands is £0 for my dates, Gatwick being £65 each way.. Soon adds up for a family of 4 or larger.. East midlands do low supplements for their sunday flights
;)
