Birmingham AL this weekend, help needed

Hi all!

I am traveling with a large group for a soccer tournament this weekend and need some recommendations from you that live in the area.

A fun,casual place to eat that will accomodate a large party that "could" be loud, just due to the size. One that has TV for sports is a plus for the men, an outdoor seating area would be fun too.

We are staying in the SE area of Cahaba Heights in the 35243 zip code so keeping it to a 15 mile radius would be excellent.

Anything you can share would be much appreciated!

All I can tell you is that you're in a nice part of town, and I'm sure there are several restaurants around there that would fit your needs, so hopefully someone else here can help you.

There are two Bob Baumhower Wings places. One will be East on Hwy 280 (near your area) in the Meadowbrook shopping center. The other is near the Galleria Shopping center off Interstate I459. Those are sports themed places. There is a large mexican themed place on Hwy 280 that has a large outdoor dining area but the name escapes me at the moment.

There are places in the summit shopping center which are all right in the area where you will be staying too (I459 and Hwy 280).

Thanks DISers for the tips, I'll look up the wings place and you better believe I have the Galleria on my list. No good shopping here in south Mississippi lol.

Seems like a fun town, wish I had more time to enjoy it!

Look up Buffalo Wild Wings - there is a location in Hoover by Wal-Mart, not far from the Galleria..it does not look big from the outside but it's huge inside. They have a large bar area and a separate eating area near the kitchen...more TVs (some very huge) with every kind of sport you can imagine. It's a family friendly place but we go during the day, not sure what it's like at night or during a big game.

But they don't have an outdoor eating area. And loud is not a problem, it's always very noisy. Plus they have great wings with about 2000 different levels of heat and taste.
