BirchBox? Samples? Wantables Box?

I haven't tried any of them but have been thinking about it. I'm just afraid I'll get a bunch of stuff I don't need. lol I would like to see some examples of what they send though.

Also, you may want to remove your referral part on there so you don't get points. ;)

I used to receive Birchbox but honestly didn't like them for two reasons. First, a lot of the samples were plastic packets of shampoo/conditioner (not small bottles like hotels) which I didn't care for. I personally wouldn't use those in my shower. It also seemed to get to revolve around lotion, nail or hair products, not actual make-up or skin care.

Second, each box usually contained one grocery or drug store type item (like a Garnier eye cream) but the majority of the samples seemed to be products that were more money than I would actually spend on that type of item. Even if I liked something, when I went to look to purchase it I would find that I wasn't willing to spend that much. I even changed my profile hoping that it would change what was in the box.

I am now getting the Ipsy box and just received my third one. So far, I really like Ipsy and you get a cute reusable bag. There is usually something I really like in each box and would be willing and able to purchase and almost all the products I have used in some way whether they were my favorite item or not.

I have thought about Wannable because you get full size items. Of course the price for that one reflects that!

I get Ipsy. I use about 1/3 of the items that I receive and the remainder, I pass on to a friend's 14 year old daughter.

My sons recently graduated from college and it seems like Birchbox is very popular with their friends. One of my younger son's female friends said that she often gets some really cool nail polish (along with a nice variety of other things) in her package. She didn't mention a concern with the price of the products (and she is a budget-conscious college student).

My younger DS has encouraged me to get a subscription - I think we are both going to sign-up!

OP, I think a subscription to Birchbox would be a great idea for your DH/sons, and a fun, unique gift for a female of any age!

I don't like my birchbox at all. I haven't gotten one must have thing. The worst part is they say they talior each box to your profile but I honestly don't think they do a good job at it. I feel bad knocking it because my boyfriend gave me the year subscription for Valentine's day.

Check out www . Mysubscriptionaddiction.com they basically subscribed to just about every box under the sun and review them.

I got the Birchbox for women for a few months then cancelled it. I thought the samples were really small; on the order of what you get for free when you place an order with Sephora. I've had better luck with Ipsy.
