My DD got the rainbow hair. My son was a super cool dude!

We leave in a couple of weeks. I wonder what it will be this year? Our appointment is at the castle in the early morning. It is not dark or scary. It is cramped. We love just being in the castle and right in MK.

I was going say dont forget the boys.. It was one of my sons highlights of the trip. We couldn't get in till 1:00 but it was still great.

To the one poster. I did not find the castle locations dark or scary.

Actually I made my ADR on Sunday and they also made my BBB for my DGD. We will be doing CRT for dinner. We are very excited.

We just got back... Couldn't coordinate BBB for our MK day when we had lunch at CRT, so did it at DTD at the 9:00 appointment. We were the first ones there, got right in with no wait, but lots of attention! My girls were picked to be the princesses of the day and got to open the store :) We then went to Epcot (drove in our car) for the day, and had dinner at Akershus with the princesses. My girls got such compliments and attention all around Epcot since there weren't many kids dressed up there, and they had matching bun hairdos and their princess dresses on. It was fabulous!

We are planning to take my neice to BBB at the Castle our first day in Disney World. We are shooting for a 8:30/9:00AM reservation with breakfast following at Crystal Palace. My question is, my son is 1 years old and will not be old enough to participate in the little boy dress up activities but I was wondering if any princesses or charcters are at the BBB in the castle. Is it worth bringing him with us for the appointment?

DD had an amazing time last year!
We had a 9:35am appointment at BBB at the castle and then 11:50 ADR at CRT. The Fairy Godmother in Training was amazing, really was sweet with both DD and me ;)
DD loved all the attention she got through out the day. Everybody called her princess (CMs and other guests!) and told her how beautiful she was.
I definetly recommend this for all princess loving girls. It is a bit pricey but bringing the dress from home makes it a lot cheaper plus, you make sure she'll get the one she wants. It is really worthed :thumbsup2
I also think early appointments are better because that way they will be dressed up all day.
DD's hairdo also held the following day.
You can also order the dress from the disney store online and have it delivered to your resort, so you won't have to bring it with you ;)

There are no characters at BBB. It's basically a beauty parlor but with castle ambiance. I didn't bring my 1yo last year, I think he would have been impatient. If someone can watch him I think it would make it easier for you to focus on your niece.

We actually like to do the opposite. On our arrival day we book an evening BBB at DTD. We arrive, check in hit the parks go back to the resort, swim, shower and head to DTD. We put a shower cap on my daughter to sleep and her hair still looks perfect in the morning. We have a pre-park opening at Akershus the next day. :)

This might be unrelated, but is it common for dresses to be sold out? My girls are going for the first time in December and this made me start thinking.

Great idea!!! My daughter chose to do the Wonderland tea party last year instead of BBB but this year she is wanting to do both since its her birthday. I've been debating surprising her with it, but having trouble fitting it into our schedule!!! This might be perfect for her since our first real day at the parks we are dedicating to Fantasy land only and we are going to be at DTD the day before. We could just act like we're shopping and then walk into the appointment! I think you just helped plan the perfect birthday surprise that I haven't been able to think of!

Yay! Glad I could help!:goodvibes
One other bonus to having an evening appt. is that the place was almost empty. My DD had 2 Fairy Godmother's fussing over her. When we went to do the pictures they took lots of time with her. She felt so special.

Yes, I actually learned here before I went last year, that it is possible that they won't have the dress your DD wants in her size. So if you want to make absolutely sure she'll get the one she wants, it's better to bring it with you or order it online to deliver at the resort.

Do they do Mommy hair, too? I want to do it!!

Also, how strict are they on age? My daughter will be nearly three when we visit and she is going nuts looking at these adorable pictures!!:jumping1:

Thanks,

Unfortunately the age limit is strictly enforced 3-12 yrs old. Too many adults were taking appointments for what was supposed to be a girls experience.

We have an 8:00 am appointment at BBB for our granddaughter. Will we all (4 adults and a baby) be able to go into the park with her prior to opening at 9:00?

So excited!!!

My daughter did BBB at DTD a couple of years ago and was not too fond with it (she was only 3.5) fast forward to today my daughter i snow 5 and I also have a 3 year old ultimate princess. We have reservations at BBB in MK this time for both my girls (I gave the older the choice between pirates league or BBB and she wants to be a princess not a mermaid I guess) Their appointments are for 8:45 so we get to be there before rope drop! We also have a lunch at CRT that afternoon!:cool1:My girls are going to be in princess heaven. I am happy that I was able to get into the castle this time just to get the experience princess:.
