If you have girls, I highly recommend a 9am appt for hair at Bippity Boutique. We brought our Princess dresses from home. Then we visited down town disney, got lunch, rested up and went to Magic Kingdom for the evening. We caught the afternoon parade, fireworks, a great supper at Liberty Tree Tavern. The whole day was so much more exciting for the girls in their new princess hair and their fancy gowns. They really felt like magic all day and night. It was really such fun.
:)

We are not normally into the foo foo stuff, so I was happily surprised with how much we all enjoyed Bippity Boppity Boutique :)

We do almost the same. Early morning appointment, followed by lunch with the princesses at CRT. Pure magic! pixiedust:

We did almost every character meal EXCEPT the Cinderalla Royal Table. I thought that the menu looked rather pathetic for our food allergies and for that price! I was afraid we'd be too disappointed. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace, HolloyWood and Vine, and Liberty Table were all HUGE hits with the girls! I am sure they would have just LOVED to see Cinderella up close, but the price! Yikes!
Maybe next time (if they ask....)

:)

Someone else posted the tip to eat at the park early and then you'll be some of the first there when you get out of breakfast and that tip worked beautifully for us. We got on our first four rides with no wait at all, and we have magical photos of JUST US in front of the castle. No one in sight!

That was also pretty amazing :)

I am swooning over how much fun we had...

I'm glad you had so much fun! My dd also had the time of her life when we went about 2 weeks ago - on her 5th birthday. We went to MK in the morning and had lunch at CRT, then went back to the resort so DD 1.5 could nap. At that point, we took the ferry to DTD and headed over to the BBB for our 3pm appointment. We arrived early and they took us right away. After DD's transformation, we went over to guest services and did a photopass photo shoot. Although there was no obligation to buy anything, I liked the pictures so much that I did purchase a small photo package (I think $22 for 1 8x10 plus 4 3x5s.) All the pictures were on our Photopass card, and I was also able to take my own. Once we finished the shoot, DH and DD 1.5 met up with us and we SHOPPED at the princess store! We then hopped on a bus to the Grand Floridian for DD's birthday dinner with Cinderella and friends at 1900 Park Fare. She loved being "all gussied up" and the attention she received. She slept in her hairdo, and it made it through the entire next day as well!

All in all, this was a very good $35 birthday present for our little princess, who had a fabulous time! princess:

Here are some picts:
This dress is from My Dressup Trunk http://mydressuptrunk.com/. It was only $20 and is nice and soft, not itchy and scratchy like so many of the dresses.

really? i am going in december. i think you have just planned our 2nd day at dis! thanks! you are a genius! glad you had fun!

Oh you'll have such fun!

MamaofTwo, those pictures are just wonderful! Awww...thanks for sharing. She looks beautiful and her dress is stunning.

I have to give those ladies at Bippity some credit! They can do wonders with very little hair! My dd has THIN hair and a bob and she managed that same hairstyle on her and it looked so adorable!

I didn't know about the birthday sashes. I wished I would have known later, as it was my younger daughter's birthday, but I got her a button and she received many happy birthday wishes all the same !
The resort store had the button (free) which saved us going to the park desk area :)

Your little girl looks like she had so much fun! I love it.

I also did not know about the photopass stuff on this tirp, and I didn't figure it out until the very end (no one explained it to me and would randomly get handed cards?!) I wish I would have taken advantage of that and had some family photos taken all the days! Still, we had no shortage of pictures (as you can imagine!)

Do they do Mommy hair, too? I want to do it!!

Also, how strict are they on age? My daughter will be nearly three when we visit and she is going nuts looking at these adorable pictures!!:jumping1:

Thanks,

Hmm...I don't know about age? Bella was 3(turning four), and there were other kids who looked to be a young three in there?

Mommies can do it and it would be fun, but I know Disney doesn't want grown ups to actually dress up like characters when going to the parks. Another warning...they use TONS and TONS of gel and hairspray. My daughter had pealing gunk around her hairline by the end of the day. While the kids didn't seem to mind that, I would just hate that! LOL

I loved the little princess bun (like in the above picture) but some of the girls were getting hair extensions (one piece ones) that were also very adorable!
So fun!

Aw dressing up would be fun, but I think I look too much like a grownup. Too bad, but they prob don't want people mobing the would be princesses.princess:

My little girl is etting the whole treatment package, and my wife and mother are having their hair and make-up done.

I was just wondering how you made reservations for the BBB. Can I do those through the same number that I made my dinner reservations?

i was thinking about a late afternoon appointment for dd before going to the pirate and princess party and MK??? but it would need to be late as possible since that's not starting till 7:30 i want all the kids to napp a LONG time that afternoon!

You get a much bigger bang for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Buck if you do it in the morning . . . :rotfl2:

dzone, I'd love to see a family pic after that!

As for how? I think I made the appt through them directly (looked them up online) but I can't remember for sure. I did have to reserve it with a credit card and they request 24 hour notice for cancellations.
We had a 9:30am appt (9am was the earliest that day) and we ended up having to wait a while. That wasn't too bad, though...we got to browse the store before it officially opened (we must have arrived early?)

We are planning on bringing my 3 year old daughter in November - but I don't know which location to book. I heard the castle one was dark and a little cramped - so maybe scary? Does anyone have any opinions?

Thanks!

We've done both locations and I personally like DTD better. The quality of service was better at DTD...really treated the girls like Princesses. Plus, while we were waiting, there was more room to move about and look around in the store. Having said that though, my girls liked the Castle location better. Something about actually being in a castle that appealed to them.

So excited to see this thread today. Our first Disney trip is at the end of Oct. I just booked my 5 year old at BBB at 5:30 and then we are giong to MNSSHP. With dinner at Tony's. I am so excited for her to get dressed up to Trick or Treat! I am trying to get the best bang for my buck by bringing a pink "ballerina style" skirt ( you know the ones that are in right now) and a cute t shirt to wear the next day...hopefully she'll still be princessed up!

We always book the very first BBB appointement at the castle on our MK day. We've had the 8am appointment for the past 2 years.

Its great because we don't miss any park time since she is getting princesstized before the MK even opens and she has all day to show off her new doo.

It was pink hair this year and last. :rolleyes1 Last year she was the only one in BBB getting the pink extensiions. This year, I think 80% of the girls were getting pink hair.
