Bioscanning

Sorry, I'm a little behind the times...do ALL disney tickets now require finger scans, for all ages? Or is it still just the adult AP's (PAP's, etc)? If so, how well is it working, or NOT???

All tickets now require the biometric scan. It is working, although -- like anything else -- it can break down. I was in the park two days ago, and there were no problems at all. No one seemed to be having any issues with the technology.

All new ticket media requires biometric scanning for anyone 10 and older. If you have any of the old tickets with remaining days they are not required to have the biometric attached to them. So far so good. It has been better than I expected. It is not perfect, but they are working on it... and if they have a really heavy entrance coming they have been known to just turn them off rather than inconveince you.

I've never had any problems with the bio scans.

They are still just for APs and PAPs.

That is not true. All adult tickets now require Biometric fingers scans.

You are correct. Even Daily Admission requires bio scans.

We ordered our MYW tickets and received them through the mail. What do we do when we get to the parks? Is there a special place for us to activate them with our bioscan?? Thanks

The first time you stick your fingers in the machine, the ticket will only work for you. One day at Epcot we didnt' have to put our fingers in . I guess it wasn't working there that day or something. The only problem we had with it is they didn't believe my son was 10 and they kind of stopped him for using his ticket, they wondered why he was sticking his fingers in there. He's just small for his age...heck if I would have known...(just kidding, we're always on the up and up). My 7 yr old didn't have to do the finger thing.
