What does it cost to get started? I thought it looked fun last cruise, but there was no time. Now that it’s just me and DH this trip, I’m thinking we might make it happen. Do they have fun Disney dotters?
We were standers for the final jackpot last month, but someone else won. We really like playing. My favorite Bingo was during the cruise when the caller always got passengers to join in and do the B11 dance. On all of our other cruises, everyone just sits & watches the entertainment staff dance. It was fun when we got to join in.
What do you get for $40? How many people does that covered? If you select electronic, do you use your own smartphone/tablet?If I recall correctly, the cheapest bingo package was $40. No, there are no fun Disney dotters. Many of the games can be played on an electronic device, so you don’t need to keep track yourself. Otherwise they usually give you a marker or a golf pencil.
The price varies by round. They have electronic bingo machines that they give you. The machine tracks the number, you just watch. You can have as many players as you would like on your machine, but only an adult can claim the jackpot. What do you get for $40? How many people does that covered? Yes, it's also a draw for the family pack when people see two handsets, as well. That helps to sell it. We typically buy the 48 card pack which is a lot cheaper, but has only about 6 fewer cards. That saved money adds up after a few games. On our recent Magic cruise, when I bought that at the first game, I did have a cast member comment that "no one ever gets that one first- unless they're smart." It didn't win me any bingo money, though. The price varies by round. They have electronic bingo machines that they give you. The machine tracks the number, you just watch. My pet peeve: Every round they push the "family pack" of 2 electronic machines plus two 3 or 6 packs of cards. They always sell it as "the best deal" and everyone buys it. But I've done the math every time they say "best deal" and it isn't. The family pack is the one machine pack (say 48 cards) split on two machines (24 cards) and an extra 3 or 6 paper cards. The price per card is higher than the lower cost package that comes with 1 48 card machine and one package of paper cards. Yet the line is always full of people buying the more expensive family pack. False advertising. One cast member conceded to me that the staff knew it was not accurate to say it was the best deal but its in their script and they have to push it that way.
Yes. Sorry, I don't remember the cost though. Electronic cost more than the paper. Can you just get the electronic handset without paper cards?
