I know there are other threads on this but my question is a little different - to the point that it would probably just hijack one of the other threads.
I made a "main" autograph book for DD as a photobook. It is not just and autograph book but starts by announcing her surprise trip and has other bits in it too and then autograph pages for the characters we know for sure we are going to meet.
The others I printed on matt finish photos and these are the ones I am on the fence about. Although it is not the main book it also needs to look nice. I know what I am doing for the cover so that is also sorted. Now the question:
I trimmed a foolscap ringbinder to a landscape size about an inch bigger all round than the photos. I was going to decorate and cover that as it is, but now I wonder if I should make my own cover and use a few scrapbook jump rings to bind it. Only concern is that the covers may slide around when characters are trying to sign so it may not be as stable. I also don't know where to get the boards to use as covers (they look like chipboard) because I don't know what they are called so I can't search for them
Finally, please forgive me if my terminology is different - I'm British
