I am driving my family to WDW from Houston next month.

The first day we are picking my only school aged child up from school at 2 pm. I plan to drive 7 hours that day and make it to Biloxi, MS.

This will be on a Friday night. Does anyone know what it is like in Biloxi on Friday nights? I assume there may be lots of casino goers on the weekend from the Military. Is this right or wrong?

Any recommendations?

It has been a while since my last trip to Biloxi, but my tip is that you stay with a very well known chain or at the Grand Casino Hotel. The Grand is off of Hwy 90. I can't remember the name of where we stayed on our last trip there. Before I made my reservation I checked it out with the local Chamber of Commerce and the BBB and thought it would be a good place to stay. That was a waste because the place was horrible!!!!

On a side note, the upstairs sit-down restaurant at the Grand Casino is WONDERFUL!!! They have the best grits I have ever had. They just melt in your mouth.

Hi CapHook,

Most all of the national chains are represented at
I-10 and hwy 49 exit (Gulfport). You could go
about 30 more minutes to the I-10 and hwy. 63
exit. It has a hampton Inn , comfort inn and
some others. I would make reservations as
the hotels can fill up on any given weekend.
Have a great time.
