Has Billy Hill and the Hillbillies moved?

I thought they always played at the Horeshoe, but disneyland site says they are at Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree.

Thanks

I thought that I had read that they moved for the summer but would be back after the summer.

They have indeed been moved for at least the summer, it is not yet known if they will move back in the winter or not.

The reasoning behind the move is that they can fit a lot more people at Big Thunder Ranch and this allowed another show in the Golden Horseshoe (Laughing Stock Company), making it easier to handle the larger crowds that they expected this summer, which is starting to decrease now.

The sad thing is that no one really knows their back there. Elvis Billy made a joke about it during one of his recent shows. Its really sad that their back there and the Laughing Stock Comedy Show is in the Horseshoe. The Billy's show is far superior. If your reading this Disney then move them back please!

Hmm, this tells me that they may not be as popular as they once were, which may very well mean that their days at Disneyland may be numbered.

As for which show is better, both are good and I think this is a great setup for both.

Does the new place have a counter service to get something to eat like Horshoe does?

No it doesn't. It does have bottles of coke products in one of those rolling carts.

And cotton candy. Billy joked about them having to amp up the cotton candy sales. I liked the show there but you have to know where you are going to get to the arena, it's kind of out of the way. It's shaded and there are a lot of chairs.

Its my understanding that the show is as popular as ever. It was moved to Big Thunder Ranch for the summer because they're hoping to get more guests back in that part of the park. Without The Billies, there wouldn't be many folks finding their way there.

But it sounds to me like its not working all that great and that at most shows they could handle bigger crowds. I think a couple problems are that a lot of people like getting a meal or a snack and then watching the show. And the a/c make the Horseshoe a nice place to take a break and cool off on a warm day.

The Big Thunder Jamboree provides neither of these things, so mostly die hard fans are the ones attending the Billy Hill shows.

I'll be glad (if and) when they move back to the Horseshoe. They just sort of belong there, I think.
