We didn't get to see this when we were there. I really want to make time for it when we go back in Oct. Could some of you fans please tell me more about it? I seem to remember that there is like an "A" team and a "B" team... better days to see it because some of the performers are off on some days. I would love to know more about it! Thanks!

We went to one show last week. I was a little disappointed when they first started because it must have been the "B" group that you talked about. Only one original Billy was in the group.

But after they got started it was really good. I still like the other Billie's better but they have to have a rest to I s'pose.

I videoed part of it because they called on one of the girls in our group to come up on stage. I'll see if I'm smart enough to download it from my camera to share. It was quite cute...

I think it's a show NOT to miss!

Definitely not one to miss!! We love love love the Billies!!! Last trip we got dreamed with front row table seats! It was GREAT!! We always get to see the same set of Billies so I really can't help with the A and B groups but you should definitely go see it, so much fun!! and if you in a snack mood the hot fudge sundaes are good and the Mile High Choc cake is HUGE!!! enough to share!

LOL no I'm not smart enough...

Don't judge me but...where is Billy Hill? :confused3

It's at the Golden Horsehoe in Frontierland. There are two sets of Billy's--one that plays (I think) Fri-Sat-Sun-Mon and the other plays the remaining days. I've seen both--and although there are common elements the shows are quite different.

Perhaps DangerMouse or BillyFan will come on to this thread--they are the "Billy" experts!

LOL oh man, if we all got judged for the questions we asked on here, we'd all be in JAIL :rotfl: That's why we ask! This is a great forum for answering questions in a friendly manner, I think.

Billy Hill and the Hillbillies is a comedy/fiddle revue show they do in the Golden Horseshoe in Frontierland. It shows up on the daily schedule of events; I think they do like 4 shows a day. I keep hearing how great it is. I watched a couple clips on Youtube and it does look hilarious. I just wondered when the original Billies are on stage.

I can pipe in on this one! :charac2: :charac2: :charac2: :charac2:

My favorite days are Sunday and Monday. This is when the "official" group all plays together. But any day other than Thursday or Friday are good. Saturday thru Wednesday you will see the lead Billy, Kirk Wall, plus Dennis, who plays the Orange Blossom Special, plus two fill-ins.

Enjoy! This is my very favorite thing to do in the Park

BillyFan has the details down pretty good. I do enjoy all the different Billys that perform. If you really want to see the cast breakdown, there's Jan's Billy Hill page that shows the different "teams" -- blue, green and gold --as well as their schedules. However, their performance schedules are definitely subject to change. I saw the "green" team (normally the Thursday/Friday team) on a Saturday in March. I think they're all fantastically talented, but I have my favorites too. Regardless, I don't think you'll be disappointed with whatever team you see. It's a terrific show!!!

Oh, this is great, guys, thanks! :worship: Perfect, we're going to be there Sunday-Thursday, so we'll go on Sunday or Monday.

Thanks for the info!

I do love all of the Billy groups, but I must admit, I love the Puddle Prance ending. The groups on Sunday, Monday, Thursday and Friday don't usually do that one. Sunday, Monday usually ends with the Devil Went Down to Georgia, and the Thursday, Friday group usually has an audience member come up to help play the fiddle. I really don't think they have any funnier ending to their program than Puddle Prance, so I enjoy seeing them on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Saturday to get that part of the show in.

I haven't searched myself and I'm kinda too lazy right now. :( But I'm almost certain you could probably find a ton of video samples of them on youtube. I'd look there. They are one of my favorite shows at the resort, my girlfriend is starting not to like it because of how much we see it... Although, it is fair cuz we watch the parade so much for her... haha ;)

I have a question that also ties in with the OP's question:

How early do you usually get in line for the Billy Hill show?

As an example, today's showtimes are 11:15am, 1pm, 2:35pm, 4pm, and 5:15 pm. Are some shows more crowed than others? Is there a showtime that you prefer?

TIA :goodvibes

They open the Horseshoe around 20 minutes before the first show, and people start lining up probably about half hour before that. So if you want to see the first show, you have to line up. But once they open the doors, they are open for the rest of the day. We tend to get here about 30 minutes before the show, grab a table and get in line for something to eat.
Do I prefer a certain showtime? Not really. Each show is a bit different, and if our favorite Billys are there, we often see mote than one show in a day. But I would say the 1:00 show is pretty crowded, since it is during the lunch rush.

My fave team is the Gold team (Sat, Tue & Wed). This is the team with the most original members (Bassist John Marshall started the group, along with Kirk, Dennis and John's brother Evan, who has since left). Only Billy Bald (aka Duane Michaels) is not an original member of the Billys who play with the Gold team. It's also most close to their original show.

To me, it doesn't seem to matter which set of Billy's we get to see. They're all great musicians and are as funny as can be. The audiences get really involved and we all have a rousing good time.
We especially try to catch the last show of the day because our tired feet appreciate the rest. We do this even if we've already seen them earlier that day.
They are a must on each trip! :cool1:

I love this show. Last time we went to Disneyland we went to see it four times. We love to get lunch and watch the show at least once during our trip. Both groups are great. Enjoy!
