Can anyone tell me how exactly Billy Hill works? Am I able to pay and eat while watching the show? How long does it usually last? What kinds of food do they have? I checked allears for the menu at Golden Horseshoe, but the selection seems limited...is that all we get?

Thanks for any info you have to offer! :goodvibes

1) you don't have to eat to sit and watch the show.
2) you can bring in outside food if you want.

You can order there, or get food elsewhere to bring in (family often brings in Rancho del Zocolo.) Or you don't have to buy anything if you want to just sit and watch the show.

Both times I've been, the line-up to pay for food has been soooo slow. Make sure you arrive nice and early, and find seats before you go line up for food. Or, just bring something in with you, as others have suggested.
It is a great show! Lots of fun. :)

We have always gotten there early to get a good seat and park dd and stuff. Dh gets in line for chicken strips for dd while I go to Rancho del Zachalo for us. Works out great!

Get there as early as when the last show ends and as early as 30 min prior depending on the crowd situation. If you want to sit directly stage left or right then get there right after the show is over. You can also order food inside like many have said but you can also go outside and order the same food and likely bypass the big lines. Most people don't know that they serve the same food just on the outside/other side of the building.

The show usually lasts 30-40 min.

More like 25-30 min.

I've seen this everytime we've gone. Sometimes a couple of times because they play different songs with the different shows. The last few times it has definitely gone over 30 and closer to 40 for the shows I've seen. And like you said there were times when it was 25 minutes. But we're talking just a few minutes here. I think it might depend on the interaction with the crowd. With all this being said it is a MUST DO!

How is the show? Would a 4 year old like it? We have never seen it, so sorry, I'm hijacking here :(

Four person country/violin/fiddle/guitar and comedy show. Imagine the audience clapping and laughing along. Signature moves are when Elvis Billy (because everyone in the band is named Billy) pulls out his fake teeth. Sounds corny I know but it is really well done. They are also all wonderful musicians.

My daughter first saw it at 4 and now it is a manditory stop. We try to hit the first show as it has started around lunch time. So they will have the doors shut and a line will begin to que. When they open the dor, people head for tables. If you can get in at that time, the food line is not bad. I don;t know why the inside is so slow but it is. As someone said, the "Stage door" right outside serves the same food but they are faster

..... With all this being said it is a MUST DO!
agreed .... I think it's probably one of most enertaining and overlooked shows at DL and it seems like no two shows are quite the same.
