Have any of you been attacked by the "bill monster" just before your big trip? Honestly, I think we have received every conceivable bill in the past few days from excise tax on our cars to property taxes, etc, etc....now my 16 year old is looking for driver's ed money to the tune of $300.00. OMG!!! Just when I'm scrambling to save every penny. I think next year I'll plan our trip for a less expensive month.

Are you from Cape Cod?? I am and we just received our excise bills to the tune of over $1000.00!!!! I feel like we just paid them! My husbands AMEX bill for his business just came in too, we are leaving Sunday and was hoping to beat the bill, but no such luck. He told me he hoped I had a big bank account somewhere for my disney trip! Jesus is my only bank account, so I will start praying now!!

I live in Oklahoma and live in a 1996 double wide and our property taxes are due next week and they are 800.00!!
That would have been money i could have used to stay onsite with Mickey Mouse!!

I just had to pay my county taxes last week $985, now I have to pay my income taxes-- we owe this year-- approx $1100!! Yuck!!! I hate taxes. In the last 2 years my overall property taxes have gone from $1952 a year to $2730!!!

Doesn't life always work that way..you try to get caught up and wham...the furnance goes!!! it's funny..some people think that their taxes are high..and others would dream of having them so low. I own a medium sized condo (1500 sq feet) and my taxes are $3800 a year....now that hurts.....but, owning something is better than paying rent to someone else.

here's hoping that everyone gets a few extra pennies!
