BIL coming home?

Had a rare email from BIL yesterday! As Melanie reported they are overwhelmed with the show of support they are receiving.

He then went on to say they'd had word from the top brass to let folks at home know they should stop sending packages because they "likely" wouldn't be "here " (wherever here is - we don't know for sure) to receive them. He qualified that by saying of course they have been told to allow 8 weeks or more for packages to arrive....

So does anyone think he might be coming home soon?

Ok, and anyone want to guess where he is? The clues we have are an RAF "base" but they are in a tent city; somewhere in the "mediterrean region"; golf courses in the neighborhood that are rolled and oiled sand; no access to laundry detergent; and a photo from the plane window showing water and coastline that is all cliffs.....

I would definately say that he may be coming home soon. Lots of people, especially Air Force are coming home within the next month. My dh said his base wanted to be cleared down to 1500 by the end of May.

He could be anywhere (except Iraq since there are golf courses). Dh is in a tent city as well, even though the base has been used by the US Air Force for years. This is DH's 5th time there.

I pray he comes home soon. This is so exciting that they are all coming home.

No guesses as to where he is, but it sounds like he may be coming home soon. I sure hope so.
