Bikes instead of GC

Update. Just got back from the Fort. The bikes worked great. Bought $1.00 small flashlights and attached to bikes. My sister and her family were there with us and they rented a cart but all the kids fought over who could ride our bikes. Next trip they are saving their money and bring their bikes. We were in the 2000 loops which I thought would be far away, but it was not bad at all.

We are taking our bikes down in Sept. and I have a small rider (5). Are there bike paths or do you ride on the road. We are going to get a seat on my bike for the 4 year old. Thanks for the info.

The bike riders and walkers share a path. Bike riders and walkers have the right of way to carts and cars.

Great thank you! My 8 year old is a great rider but the 5 year old is still a bit scary.

We bring bikes. When the kids were smaller we would just bring our bike trailer for the little ones. We've never rented a cart. Bike are how we roll.

Riding bikes everywhere was one of our favorite parts of the Fort! Have fun.

Just don't plan on renting bikes. They are around $28 a day. We once discussed buying bikes when we get there, then passing them along to another family.
