Bike Riding at Wilderness Lodge

Can you rent bikes at WL and bike to Fort Wilderness. What is there to see on the way?

You can hire bikes and take the path to FW.
As for view, there are trees and view of the lake. You'll past River country too so that maybe of interest to you.

However, I would suggest a boat hire. You can visit both RC and FW as well as checking out the Comtemporary and going over to Seven Seas Lagoon to the other MK resorts!

I would go for the boat/bike pkg if it is still offered. We signed up in May. It was $210.00 +- for entire length of stay even if part is at another resort, includes all watercraft and bikes, good for I think 5 people in the family(only 2 of us, that's why unsure) and it was a blast. We rode the bikes about 2 hours every day. There is a bike path that goes over to Fort Wilderness and all around the WHOLE campground. It is HUGH. It was 85-89 degrees every day and it was not as exhausting as one might think. The bikes alone I think were $7.50/bike/hr

My dh bikes every day at home, so he is bummed to be without his bike while we are at DW. We will be at the Poly. Does anyone know if they have bikes, or do we need to go to WL to rent them? The ride to FW and around the campground sounds perfect. Do they have tandems or bikes for kids? Our dd is 5yo and can only ride a tandem, she can't balance a bike on her own yet. Even if we can't do it as a family I think dh and I would like to take turns going for an early morning bike ride every day. We considered bringing our bikes from home but we fly out on such a small plane they won't fit! LOL

We rented bikes when we at the WL for a couple hours, it was a lot of fun. We biked over to the campground and went to the petting zoo(it's free). My DD also went on a pony ride for, I think it was, a dollar. Then rode around the campfround to explore. I forget how much it cost but it was pretty cheap, we rented 2 bicycles, 1 with a child seat.

It was a fun afternoon.
