Bike rentals at Castaway Cay

A few questions:

1. Do we need to bring helmets or do they provide?
2. Do they rent tandems?
3. Do they have surrey (not sure of spelling) bikes like the ones at the boardwalk at WDW?
4. Do they have bike with a trailer for the kids to "pedal" along?

I just called and asked them about some of these questions today...they rent only single person bikes, but they they said they had some with child seats on the back of the bike, Sorry, I didn't even ask them about helmets.
They don't have thte bigger bikes, like the 4-6 person bikes with the baskets on the front...I was hoping that was what they had so I could have put my daughter in the basket in the front and my godson could have went along for a ride since he can't pedal but they don't have those....

They do have bike helmets for use when you rent bikes. At least they did in May '01. Simply look for one that is your size, or your child's size. I do not remember tandem bikes there. They do have a variety of regular bikes (boys/girls/of varying sizes).

An Important Tip: If you need to rent a float or tube, you can rent them (and return them) at the bike rental area towards the far end of the family beach. This could have saved me a long walk to and from the (large) rental area near the snorkel gear hut. They don't have a huge supply, but there was plenty.

Thanks for the replies. That's too bad that they do not have the four/six seater ones. Our kids love those bikes.
